Shatan, thank you for the picks!
I'm going to read Flowers from the Storm, as Laura Kinsale is the featured author this month and I'll definately check these new authors and hope to get to at least one!

My apologies for causing you difficulties with choosing. I love the picks you made though.
I think I'll start with This Tangled Thing Called Love as I also need it for another challenge I'm doing in September. Then if I have time I'll try another one. Not sure what one yet though. "
Whew. I'm glad you ended up liking them ^_^

Daw, well thanks Crystal! I love hosting. It's just as addicting as participating. Glad you're having fun!

Crystal...
Wow! Great picks! You did a fine job on your first time!
Yea I normally have a few on my "On Deck" but it has been dwindling down! lol!!
I will for sure go with Afterburn and The highlander's Touch! I will let you know if I get to any more!!
thanks again!

I paid no attention to who the featured author was for the month! Totally awesome, I picked one of her books! I read some of the reviews of Flowers from the Storm and it looks like it's going to be a good read! I hope you enjoy it!

Oh My GOSH! You did such an amazing job with my picks. I LOVE what you have picked for me. I want to read them ALL!
I Commit to reading in September:
Backstage Pass
Virgin River - This sounds amazing... I've never heard of her or her series, but it's right up my alley.
Comanche Moon - WOW. This sounds so great. I can't wait to read this one... Again, another author I have never heard of.... but a genre that I love.
A Rogue by Any Other Name - I haven't read any of her books before, but if she's an "Auto buy" then she must write amazing books.
Then Came You - You said, "Need I say more?" I agree, this book sounds so great!
Simply Irresistible - This is different for me, but I'm happy to give it a try.
The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie - This will HAVE to be my first read starting September 1! This sounds perfect.
The Gamble - I've heard such good things about this book and series. I'm looking forward to reading it.
I HOPE to read in September:
No Place to Run - This sounds so amazing. You recommended the first book to me as well.... The Darkest Hour but I'm already committed to reading it with my BookAholic's Anonymous book club as a buddy read starting this Sunday. So, I can't officially take credit for it as I'll be reading it in August.
Dragonfly in Amber - I read the first book last summer and I have been trying and trying to get to this book. I hope to read it this month, but if not... October for sure! I can't hold off much longer. I miss Jamie!
Dragon Bound - This does sound awesome. I hope to get it it, but if not, I have it tagged to buy and get soon!
Surrender - I am reading a Pamela Clare book now (Historical Romance)... this sounds like a very, very intense, awesome read. I also have it tagged to buy and get soon!

Impassioned, new to you author (one of my all time favorite books):Mr. Impossible

Water word, sweet series, new to you author: Virgin River
Sweet, from pick shelf:Frog

Earth:
Green, from your TBR: Last-Minute Bridesmaid
landscape, from your TBR: A Piece of Heaven
Green, new to you author: Squeeze Play
Brown, from pick shelf:Gambling Men: The Novel

A lot of the new to you authors were on your TBR, but I checked to make sure you hadn't read anything by that author. Please let me know if you'd like to do any re-picks.

We had lots in common so I hope you like your picks. I believe they were all made from by cover matching.
Fire
Based on your shelves, I'm amazed you haven't gotten to this series. If I had to make only one pick for you, this would be it - Naked in Death by J.D. Robb. You like mysteries and romance and this series has both, plus it has Roarke. Eve is a very strong character who has lived only for her job as a police detective and now she is about to see her life changed. You also had Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder on your TBR. This was an amazing book, the characters are strong and I really enjoyed learning about how one becomes a poison taster.

Water
These are all from your TBR, but all great books. First is To Die For by Linda Howard. It is romantic suspense with a sense of humor. Next is Dark Descendant by Jenna Black. It starts confusing because Nikki is as in the dark as we are. But the idea behind descendants is cool and I'm a sucker for greek mythology. And last we have Venom by Jennifer Estep. This is book 2 and it is even better than the first. In general these books get better as you learn more about Gin and a few other changes I won't spoil take place.

Air
I don't read a lot of historical romance, but I did enjoy this one - Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean. Or if you're more in the mood for a paranormal mystery Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye by Victoria Laurie is a good place to start. How Abby's powers work is interesting and her dog is so cute. Or for something a bit lighter there Getting Rid of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie. I just re-read this recently and still love it. Crusie writes kooky with heart.

Earth
You love the Kate Daniels series, so even though the cover is awful, you should check out On the Edge by Ilona Andrews. It has a great sense of family interwoven with the romance in this unique paranormal world. Or give Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks a try. Lily is a police detective with null power and her new case has her looking at the werewolf prince as a suspect, but what she is feeling leads to complications. It is an interesting world and her grandmother might be my favorite supporting character of any book.

Brandilyn, you must be really getting sick of picking for me - this is the third time since March, I think! :D But thanks for the picks, I know I'll be reading The Melody Thief since it's the m/m buddy read next month, and I'm sure I'll fit at least one or two more in. I've been looking at A Matter of Time, Vol. 1 off and on for a while but haven't managed to get to it, so this may be the push I needed! The rest sound good too...just wish I was going to have time next month to read them all!

No that's fine...Can I just delete it and start again? I feel like those books aren't a good match.
ETD -- I just went back to original post of books and added some from this shelf. I don't think she has seen the picks yet, so I didn't do a whole re-post.

I avoided Room for a long time. I finally read it this month, and it was SO much better than I expected!
A friend recommended The Art of Racing in the Rain. Now, I don't like really like racing, and I am not exactly a dog person, but I absolutely LOVED this book!
I just bought
Where'd You Go, Bernadette. If you decide to read this one, I'd be glad to do a buddy read.
Have fun deciding!

Nah, never tired of choosing for you :)
I don't know if you do audio books at all, but the first 3 books in the AMoT series are on Audio and the narrator is very good. The Cardeno C one is also in Audio. I didn't listen to that one, but I have listened to other Jeff Gelder narrated titles and he is usually pretty good (incidentally he also narrates the 3rd AMoT book, Bulletproof).

I'm on a long car ride home and my hubby reminded me we have the iPad with us- score! Here are your picks. I hope you find something you like!

I really liked Bernadette, Diane - she was quirky

I hope you find something you like. I tried to do a mix to give you a lot of options. It was actually harder to find new books for you lol. *crosses fingers*

Thanks so much for the great picks Nichole! I will definitely read Hot Summer Nights and The Melody Thief. I would also like to get to Easy and The Siren if I can. Thanks again !

Fire: For the new book here I picked Country Mouse by Amy Lane and Aleksandr Voinov. There is definitely some fire there and Malcolm is certainly stubborn! You can follow up with them in City Mouse, I just finished it this week and thought it was a nice sequel even if I want a third book! From your preferred shelf I picked Undertow by Andrea Speed and Meet Me in the Middle by L.A. Witt because both covers work here. =) You seem to really like the series by Andrea Speed and Meet Me in the Middle sounds really good, I will have to add that series to my shelves!
Water: It looks like you really enjoyed My Summer of Wes by Missy Welsh - I did too! But neither of us has read, or even has on our shelves, The Door Into Spring yet - buddy read maybe? One more new pick for this category is Just Ask by Mia Downing - sweet story! Another suggestion for this category is A Taste of Love by Andrew Grey, I thought this was a sweet story! Or maybe Fifteen Shades of Gay by T. Baggins - this one worked for me, also pushed some buttons. But it has a dark blue cover and it looks like water so it fits! =P From your preferred shelf, I picked Unsettled Conditions by Ann Somerville. You rated the one before it 5 Stars, that would make me want to continue!
Air: I read Let's Hear it for the Boy by T. A. Webb a few months ago for our M/M buddy read and sobbed all night long, but in a good way! I thought it was amazingly well written and I felt like I was in the room with the characters listening to the story. I loved it! It had so much for such a short story! It looks like we both enjoyed One Small Thing by Piper Vaughn and M.J. O'Shea and I really liked Dusty's story too so I am going to suggest One True Thing from your to-read shelf. I didn't realize how much I wanted a HEA for Dusty until I was reading that book. And from your preferred shelf, I picked two books that looked really good, and emotional, to me and will be joining the others on Mt. TBR - oy! Boys of Summer by Cooper Davis sounds really sweet and Analyzing Emory by Lily Grace looks to be emotional.
Earth: I didn't find Forever Promised by Amy Lane on any of your shelves, but you seemed to really like the other books in the series. It kinda has a landscape on the cover... From your preferred shelf I picked My Cowboy Heart by Z.A. Maxfield - your shelves are killing my wallet!!
I hope you can find something to read from these picks!!

Fire:
Wicked Ties ~ Hot, alpha, BDSM goodness
If I Were You ~ Um... Ditto
Dark Lover ~ You don't get anymore Alpha than The Black Dagger Brotherhood and a little PNR might be good for you. I noticed Lover Reborn on your tbr, but my OCD will not allow me to start you there.
Naked in Death ~ Since you enjoy Nora Robert's romantic suspense, I'm sure you'll love the In Death series. It gets better and better with each installment. Not an easy task when there's almost 40 books in the series.

Water
Good Girls Don't ~ A good love story wrapped around a bit a mystery.
Flat-Out Sexy ~ Hot, sexy and sweet :-)
Beguiling the Beauty ~ I don't remember seeing any historical romance on your shelves at all, so I choose I one that breaks the mold. Even Jim liked this one ;)
Kiss an Angel ~ I adore Susan Elizabeth Phillips and this book was funny and sweet. On the lighter side of angst and alphas.

Air
Easy ~ I'm not usually a fan of NA, but I LOVED this book.
The Reluctant Dom ~ Did someone say emotional? This book made me cry (the ugly cry) and totally turned me on. Is that weird??
Midnight Man ~ I recommend this book all the time, and made adjustments to make sure I put it on your list. There's a sex scene in the beginning that still spices up my dreams.
Sins & Needles ~ I don't know how to describe this book. It's loaded with angst and emotion, but not at all typical. There was section where I wanted to strangle both MCs and then throw the book against the wall. But I persevered and then fell in love *sigh*

Earth
And One Last Thing ... ~ A really fun, light read. Great for a rainy day.
Protecting What's His ~ The only rec that I haven't read, but I've heard really good things and it seems right up your alley. I've just added it to my tbr :)
The Frog Prince ~ This was a freebie and a total surprise. I wasn't expecting such a good story and every time I thought I knew what was going to happened, things would turn in a different direction.
Warrior's Cross ~ I'm pushing your limits a bit with this M/M romantic suspense. You still have your super Alpha male and some angst, along with a huge "hotness" factor. Great read!

Phew, done! Sorry it took so long, but I hope you find some hidden gems within :-)
Happy Reading!!

Really, I want to read it all.

Here are your picks for this month. I hope you find something that you like. I tried to give you a few M/M books to chose from since it looked like that is what you had been reading lately.
Fire:
From your TBR: The Archer by Abigail Roux. You seemed to have liked other books by this author.
New to you: Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost. This is one of my favorite books. It is a paranormal romance with Vlad. This book has two very strong and stubborn characters in it and this is one of my favorite series that I have read.

Water
From your TBR: One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy. It looks like this might be a sweet story.
From your TBR: The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen. There is rain on the cover.
New to you: Cloak & Silence by Sherrilyn Kenyon. This is a short M/M book that I have read. I loved it. It is a beautifully written short story. It is one that I can lend from my Kindle if you are interested in this. It has a small element of sci-fi to it, but I love the entire series.

Air
From your TBR:Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. I read this one recently, and Will is definitely angsty.
New to you: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. This one is a pretty emotional book. It is a suspense where a woman is reported as missing and the husband is the prime suspect. I loved it and couldn't put it down.
New to you:Captive Prince: Volume One by S.U. Pacat: I have not read this one, but it looked interesting. It is an M/M book as well.

Earth
From your TBR: The Heart of Texas by R.J. Scott
New to you: Matched by Ally Condie. I just finished reading this one and absolutely loved it. It's not really a light and easy kind of book, but from the looks of our shelves, neither one of us read those mostly anyway.
New to you: The Current Between Us by Kindle Alexander. I found this one while looking through some of the M/M books and thought you might be interested.

I hope you find a book here that you are excited to read. I have read all except the Sydney Croft book and I plan to read it this month.
