Just finished my 6th book and added it to the spreadsheet. Everything should be up to date for me on there.
I just added 2 more that I finished over the weekend. We are almost to our quota for the Book a Day!
Wait! I thought we had finished the Book-a-Day, but it looks like we cannot use multiple books per day, except for the trilogy on day 3: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...If that is the case, then we still need 4 books in that category. I'm going to see if I can repurpose some of mine to other days.
Okay. I moved some of my books around, so now we have 18 of our goal of 19 days covered. However, we have 2 books for day 6.
Lara,
• We will allow members to “double up” on days for the A Book a Day Keeps the Boredom at Bay Reading Challenge; however, not for the A-Z challenge, nor any Spell-It-Out. Of course, if you spell T.I.G.E.R. and C.A.T. (using two "T"s., that is acceptable).
Below is an example of a category's sub-options restrictions. The example we use is for Category #4 from the challenge:
Two (2) books per Book A Day Challenge sub-option. Using Category #4 as an example we have two (2) books with a red/blue/white cover, two (2) books set on the US, two (2) books with the US flag on the cover. Or two (2) books where the main character is fighting for his independence or for some greater good.
That is a total of eight (8) books for Category #4. Some categories allow more, some are less.

WOOHOO!! We have made it past the 5 BAP point and are close to earning 7 BAP.Keep up the great work! :)
Sorry I have been so slow this month, but I have finally finished my second book. I should get at least another two done before the end of the month as I do have a terrible habit of reading three or four books at the same time.Anyway, I just finished The Night Circus which was absolutely fabulous. Just heading over now to see where I can fit it in the spreadsheet.
I have just added it to Day 30 as many of the characters in this book are well over 100 years old, and being a part of the circus stops many of the others from ageing.I could have put it in Day 28 with a black and white cover, but I was a bit worried as the cover also has a bit of red in it
. But it could potentially be switched if need be.
Okay, I've reached my 9% goal of 14 books. The scary thing is that only 2 had been started before this month. So, one question I have is whether any additional books I read can count towards this challenge, or if they will just count for the overall team?
It says 1 member can read more to make up another members percentage. I'm happy to do that cause I've reached my 9% target too

Great! I'll do that as well.
Looking at the spreadsheet there I've totalled 21 books read (according to the numbers at the top)... so looks like we're good with 7 BAPs now. Reckon we might be able to make it up to 9 by end of the month! Let's go guys! We can do it!
Yay team!! As of Sept 23rd we have 41 books read!!!20 for the Book A Day challenge - Completed!
12 for the A-Z Challenge
9 for the New 2 U authors Challenge!
Keep reading and filling in the books wherever the fit now! So close :)
Also in case its confusing...our goals went down a bit then back up. That's because I wasn't sure if Wendelin was participating this month, but she sent me a PM assuring she was so hopefully when she posts books we will get a boost! We now have enough for 5 BAP (with corrected goals)
Reckon we can easily hit 7 BAP by the end of the month... let's aim for reading as many books over the next week as we can! :o)
I've added 2 more books to the spreadsheet and my tracking post. I may get one more done over the weekend too.
I just added a book to the "W" on the Alphabet Challenge. Vikki has a book there TBR but hasn't marked it finished. If you do finish it Vikki I can move my book to New 2 U author....just let me know!
I should finish it tonight or tomorrow Nancy, but don't worry about moving yours. I can use mine as a New 2 U author as well.
Last night I managed to finish another one, and yet another this morning. Both are posted here and in the spreadsheet.
What did you think of the Philippa Gregory books Rebecca? I read Lady of The Rivers over the summer. Haven't read The White Princess yet though. Did you read The Kingmakers Daughter?
I actually re-read two of them this fall because it's been a while since I read them and I wanted to re-fresh myself before starting The Kingmakers Daughter. I liked them, but not as much as the Tudor series. I think there is just not enough "scandal" and too many battles/war that after a while it becomes a tinsy bit boring. I wish there was more personal drama between the characters, but I really like her style of story telling even if she does embellish. What about you?
Sorry I meant White Queen, not Princess. I haven't read all the Tudor series yet. Bought The constant Princess & The Virgins' Lover over the summer there - got them for good bargains. I read The Other Boleyn Girl and The Boleyn Inheritance. And I've read The Other Queen.I like both series equally well. I don't mind the battles in the cousin's wars books, and I've enjoyed reading that bit further back in history too. Most of the historical fiction is set in Tudor times from Henry VIII to Elizabeth I.
Did you see the TV series of The White Queen?
@Vikki - Yes that's my favorite part about the "Cousin's Wars" series is that it does;t focus on the tudors. I never really knew much about Great Britain's history (other than Henry VIII) and I love seeing how many people take the crown and claim to be king.I read The Boleyn Inheritance when it was published and that's what really got me interested in reading HF!
I haven't seen The White Queen on tv, but I might borrow it from the library once the season is over.
You guys must be a bit behind, it finished here mid-August and I've already got it on DVD. It'd be worth borrowing!I'm reading another book for the Book A Day. Hoping to finish tonight as it's not a long book and quite quick to read.
I just updated the spreadsheet with a finished new2me book. I'll update my post as soon as I'm on my laptop again.
I think I'm right in saying we're 2 books off getting 9 BAP... Looks like we're on 54 books at the moment.
Finally I get to post my book list ;) This month really was a challenge to get anything read -.-1. The Novice - Trudi Canavan
2. Magician's Guild - Trudi Canavan
3. The High Lord - Trudi Canavan
4. Inkdeath - Cornelia Funke
5. Inhkheart - Cornelia Funke
6. Inkspell - Cornelia Funke
7. Long Walk to Freedom - Nelson Mandela
8. Old Man's War - John Scalzy
