I think I give up, lol. I couldn't find any quote stating she's an adult.
I could put the next quote with her name on it, and the synopsis states her age.

Or if you would accept another quote stating her age, Yes, indeed; at eighteen, Sophie found herself far more cared-for than she was when she was two.

When Charlie came to her side of the car and unbuckled her, he surprised her by also unbuckling the straps of her coveralls. He tugged off her pants, then picked her up and put her down on the ground in front of the car. He plucked out her pacifier, put it on the seat, and then unlatched the Velcro closing of her diaper.

“I won’t do anything like what I did ever again. I promise,” she panted, and not because of the small hike she had to go on to find the proper sticks, but because she was suddenly short of breath in general. It didn’t seem like the world held enough air.
He put out his hand to silently demand the sticks from her. She slowly and hesitantly handed them to him, chewing her bottom lip. He began to strip the bark from them. “I know you won’t do that ever again, Sophie,” he said in a very firm, ominous way.

So I think your book scares me.

In your initial post you said she had to dress up as punishment. It seems like the part where the guy tells her what her punishment is would work. Yeah it is probably apparent that she usually doesn't dress like that, but to be a costume it needs to be implied that that is not how she normally dresses, not just our assumption.

message 354: by Katherine (last edited Sep 28, 2013 03:20PM) (new)

Katherine (katdylan) LMAO. I'm reading it for another challenge. And believe me I'm TRYING not to scare you.

Well, there are parts I can show you it's not how she usually dresses. She crashed a car and that was her punishment for stealing and crashing it.

(before crashing the car)
One more time and you will get a bad-baby weekend that you’ll never forget! Diapers, bottles, nap times, and long—hard—spankings.
&
(after crashing the car)
“Welcome to your first bad-baby weekend.”

I can't put the previous part of the quote or half of the people around here would run screaming for their mama's. Lol
I really wanted to fit this book in my challenge-reading schedule, but if it doesn't work, it's okay. I'm gonna do the sacrifice of reading another book.

It's age-play, so if you've never heard of it it's okay. It's not your standard romance, lol. Have fun!

ShoSho (shoshost) Dawn , anything in this paragraph acceptable for bad weather?

It was nearing on September , unpredictable in the Colorado Mountains .It could mean we'd be up to our knees in snow tomorrow and stay that way until April. It could mean we could go out in swimsuits tomorrow and get sunburned.
But every man who had a bike who lived in unpredictable weather took it out as often as he could before that unpredictable weather hit.

It seems like a stretch but that last "unpredictable weather" sounds like it's talking about that snow storm. So if that's the best you've got I'll take it.

yaay thanks!
well I kinda stuffed up. I searched my book and it had at least 4 storms in it.after I finished the book I realized 1 of them is not about weather and the other 3 are in the excerpt at the end of this one from another book. Can I read the excerpt and claim one of those?

message 363: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Sorry ShoSho it needs to be in the actual book not the excerpt.

ShoSho (shoshost) Dawn (Kat N Hat) wrote: "Sorry ShoSho it needs to be in the actual book not the excerpt."

That's OK . I went with the "unpredictable weather".
I was trying not to read too much of the book to avoid spoilers so that's what happened :P

Any form of gold, the metal or color. Also if it is on the cover it has to be 50% of the cover not just on the cover.

Lauren (laurenjberman) Would Goldfinger be acceptable for gold and can the word be in the title of the book? Sorry if this has already be asked and answered.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Sam wrote: "Would black/dark magician work for mage/wizard?"

Anyone who uses a form of "magic" would work... well real magic, not a magician who is using optical illusion kind of magic.

"Being both a chaplain and a medic due to the need for double duty troops.." will work.

I'm not sure what "Preacher's World Corps unit" is are they actual soldiers or a volunteer group? But if the first one works, does it matter?

If they are doing "real" magic (spells, conjuring, etc) then yes. Just the word magician would not work because most of those are "performers" who do illusion acts not like a mage

Yes, per the rules figures of speech are ok for hat. Just for that phrase, "wearing many hats". And a cap is a type of hat so it works too.

Sentence: "It was as if the magician conjured up Elena and Isaiah out thin air"

Turtlecollector Dennis Dawn (Kat N Hat) wrote: "Turtlecollector wrote: "Would this work for soldier

Thanks.

Preacher is the name of a person and the book is set in the future so I was assuming World Corps was the name of the army then. He is the same person referred to in the first option. It just didn't specifically say soldier so I wanted to make sure first.

message 395: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Lauren wrote: "Would Goldfinger be acceptable for gold and can the word be in the title of the book? Sorry if this has already be asked and answered."

Yes the item can be in the title, pictured on the cover, or in the text of the book (the text is just the most common option).

As for Goldfinger, I am going to go with no. It is either in reference to a movie or the character Auric Goldfinger. It is not in refrence to the color or metal. I wouldn't take Goldbart, Goldbaum, Goldberg, or Goldberger or any other "gold" last name.

message 396: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Ezinwanyi~For you, Agron wrote: "Sentence: "It was as if the magician conjured up Elena and Isaiah out thin air" "

Well, your sentence says "as if", like it is someones guess, who doesn't believe in magic. Did he really conjure them or was it an illusion?

Troops to me is just soldiers in plural form. So it works.

The second one seems like it is the Army took a hit so that doesn't mean exactly soldiers.

Turtlecollector Dennis Ok, I'll use the first one which was my first choice anyway.
