Katya Sorry if someone asked this but what of a "Ball Gag"???

It is a spherical object. LOL Reading something naughty and wondering if it applies?

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) "Go for gold [medal]" for gold?

"the London Marathon" for Metropolitan Area, or does it need to be a direct reference to the city itself.

Sheila (sheilaj) | 1 comments would nachos or paella be considered Mexican foods?

message 205: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Sickle (thereadingdiaries) Wonder if this would pass for costume.

The authenticity of her costume was slightly ruined by the fact that both her rags and her hair were very clean and smelled faintly of lavender, and by a decidedly unwitchy teacup with a fluffy gray kitten on it.

Love paella.

I pulled into a parking spot on the north shore. Fewer campers over there. After shutting off the engine I turned to her. “Welcome to Lake Tahoe.”

And for SOLDIER,
"Friends with a high ranking military official OR

Allen Caldwell first mentioned a chance for the younger members of our Pack to be part of an undercover military operation

╰⊱♥⊱╮ღ꧁Kathy,Ahmazing Book Faerie꧂ღ╭⊱♥≺ (mamabear7080) GOLD: While I stared at the large chandelier and ornately carved front desk, a large golden retriever galloped right past me

ICE: I left a message, polished off my iced tea, OR
I got up to grab a glass that sat beside the empty ice bucket and headed for the bathroom.

Both would work.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Sheila wrote: "would nachos or paella be considered Mexican foods?"

Nachos definitely. I had to look up paella since I've never heard of it. It looks more like a food from Spain than Mexico so I am going with no unless you can site a reference otherwise.

Can you find a source that says paella is Mexican not Spanish?

Campers is a little off center but it does imply there is a camp site so if that is all you can find I'll take it.

high ranking military official would again be a little off from a soldier. But Generals, and Colonels are soldiers that have moved up the ranks so I'll take it.

I think undercover military operation is a bit too vague for soldier.

╰⊱♥⊱╮ღ꧁Kathy,Ahmazing Book Faerie꧂ღ╭⊱♥≺ (mamabear7080) I have better descriptions in other books, but wanted to check for this particular book, as I am reading it for an author, and hoped to fit it in here as well, depending on what is called.

Thanks for that Dawn.

ShoSho (shoshost) Dawn ,will you take sphere or bubble for ball?
I'm listening to this si-fi book , the women in this planet are in a floating bubble or sphere .

"A pair of pearl-colored spheres drifted at a walking pace across the far end of one hall and Miles blinked at his first glimpse of haut-ladies.Sort of. "
or
"Inside their bubbles, the haut-women could be wearing anything Did they ever cheat? "

this is the cover (but it's not suppose to be see through) Цетаганда by Lois McMaster Bujold

In this tense yes I'll take them, since it is an actual physical ball. And the cover looks definately like a ball.

would truck, van work for vehicle?

message 232: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Carrie wrote: "For vehicle would buggy be ok?"

I would need context to know for sure. Buggy can be a general term for a lightweight car. It could be a baby buggy, which is not a vehicle. Or it could be horse and buggy which I would take. I think dune buggy could be classified as not quite a car too.

message 233: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (icanhasbooks) | 268 comments Horse and buggy, as the story is set in mid-1800's

message 234: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) Would carriage work for vehicle?

message 235: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Horse and buggy and carriage lead by horses would both work.
