unfortunately for y'all, I don't embarrass easy but I will keep classy--UNLIKE MILEY CYRUS). Damn that girl is on something. Why not put an application at Dallas gentlemen's club?

Yes - it's so sad. Not a show my kids watched so I never saw it. I think I saw him in something else though recently - I don't remember what.

Yes, real or fake, stuffed or vibrating it'll work.

I hadn't heard that, I never watched that show either. I am so glad my girl has moved on beyond the Hanna Montana obsession.

Sheila (sheilaj) | 1 comments Costume jewelry? - for costume

billboards every hundred feet or so advertising gambling on Indian reservations - for native American

╰⊱♥⊱╮ღ꧁Kathy,Ahmazing Book Faerie꧂ღ╭⊱♥≺ (mamabear7080) Costume: "She was dressed in her Hockey gear"
OR “I love you, too, Ma. Even when you’re dressed like a high-priced hooker.”

message 60: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Costume jewelry - no since it is a main stream fashion trend not really dressing up as something else.

message 61: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) I would take Indian reservation for American Indian.

message 62: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Hockey gear doesn't seem like a costume, but more a uniform. But remembering back to my days of working at an amusement park our uniforms there were called costumes. So it isn't really what I had in mind but I'd take a complete uniform as a costume.

message 63: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) I am inclined to say no to the hooker, but my husband argued in your favor , " that is her uniform" . So I'd take it in that context, because it mentioned she was dressed as one. If it said, "there were hookers on the corner" I would say no.

I respectfully disagree with husband. Hookers have no "uniform or common attire". High heel shoes, boots, short skirts are every where I go.

The biggest hookers I know, are surburbia moms (LMAO) and they look regular

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

So then maybe those moms ripped off the "hooker look"...maybe hookers should have a new standard uniform...I think it counts tho! :)

Would a sheikh work? He is a male sovereign after all :)

LMAO - I love each year my kids have an assembly to go over appropriate attire for school ( I have 2 middle schoolers now)
Every year my son comes home to tell me what was said - usually more about girl attire and I always think - really you should be addressing this to the parents because at that age who takes the kid shopping. Oh but then the principal might have to tell the parents "They can't come to school dressed like you" while pointing to a few in the audience. Probably wouldn't go over well but I would LMAO.

My son also tells me all the girls that dress "that way" are b*tches... then he looks at me guilty and apologizes for his language and says "but it's true!"

If sheikh is used in context to describe a male ruler of a large area then yes. By definition it could be just an elder man or a tribal leader and those situations wouldn't work.

message 74: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Melissa, I also blame clothing designers. Having a pre-teen girl myself I know we struggled this year to find school appropriate shorts. A lot of the other girls her age wear short-shorts, the school is ok with it. I am not. It was hard to find shorts her size that were long enough. I ended up going to a thrift store, buying jeans, and making cuttoffs that we added pretty trim to. I know a lot of parents arn't going to go through that much trouble, they are just going to buy what the stores are selling.

Manufacturers need to realize that just because it is cute in a womens or juniors size it should not be made in a girls size 12.

I totally agree on blaming the designers. Also agree that most moms don't bother which I totally don't understand.

What was said was "shorts should not show butt cheeks" among other things.

My daughter is 11 just starting 6th grade and thank God still likes wearing skirts. I was able to find 3 different pairs of long style jean shorts for her but I can tell this is going to get harder as she gets older. It also helps that she is shorter. I'm sure I'll end up doing what you did as well. I know I won't buy short shorts for her. I wish there were some role models for girls who actually dress cute and respectfully without the need to show everything.

Definitely a costume.

message 84: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Jennifer ♔Princess Penguin♔ wrote: "Would shadow work for silhouette?"

In the right context. A silhouette is more about the outline of the shape. So if it is something like, "I could see the distinct outline in the shadows of a cat" then yes. But something like, " The shadow crossed over me as I lay in the sun" then no. It should imply you can see the whole outline.

╰⊱♥⊱╮ღ꧁Kathy,Ahmazing Book Faerie꧂ღ╭⊱♥≺ (mamabear7080) A couple more for you Dawn......

Gold.. Pretty golden lights oR golden Hair

Rabbit... Rabbit hole? as like Alice fell down

Snow..."Well aren't you just a special snowflake"

Leaf.. Large leafy plants

Ball.. Exploded like a cannonball

Gift.. gift shop

Silhouette...Face shadowed by the beret OR their lights cast shimmering shadows as they stopped

Firework.. Taking out the light in a shower of fireworks OR Firecracker

Thanks!

message 89: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Kathy. The first 6 are fine no questions.

Silhouette neither of those would work because they don't mention the outline of the shadow.

To me personally Fireworks and Firecrackers are different things, but for the purpose of this challenge I think they are close enough to be counted together. So I will take firecrackers too.

message 91: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Pat,

Warrior would work in the right situation. I think my defining point would be a soldier fights to protect his country, kingdom, clan etc. It wouldn't just be any fighter, they would need to be pledged to their homeland. Does that make sense?

Yes I'll take moonlight.

The variations of camp are a bit iffy. Most likely I would take them. I was thinking more of it as a place, so campground no problem. If it was something like, " I am going camping next week," it doesn't really imply the site. But if it were, "this is where we'll be camping for the night," gives the impression of a site. A camper is more of a trailer or non-car vehicle. If it were set up in a secluded spot I could see it working. But I know people who live out of their camper in other peoples driveways... that would not work.

The word child or children alone, no I would not take. If it said the child was less than 2 years old, I could be convinced to take it.

I try to go through each team thread at least once a day. RL happens and it isn't always possible. As I go through the threads I update points. If I won't take it yes I will let you know. If you have something you are unsure about probably a good idea to ask ahead of time. If I know ahead of time my schedule is busy I will post in the main discussion thread that I won't be around. If I get busy I may not check each team thread everyday but I'll still try to get to both discussion threads and my pm's.
