Umera | 1 comments Before I Go to Sleep Hi guys. I have recently finished it and found it totally amazing. The book managed to grab my interest in the story till the end. Its full of suspense while smartly unfolding the psychological issues.

Not everybody loved it. I didn't. I didn't like being stuck in one place; everything occurring elsewhere has to be told, not experienced. We don't always think the same so maybe it WILL work for you , Gill. ;0) I cannot really get my finger on why people react so differently. It has to be different experiences in backgrounds.

Leslie | 16369 comments I have finished Sybil, or the Two Nations by Benjamin Disraeli. I am still gathering my thoughts for a review but I was pleasantly surprised by the humor of it. That said, I think that it would appeal most to fans of Victorian history and/or British politics...

I also finished a reread of the first Inspector Appleby mystery, Seven Suspects, aka Death at the President's Lodging. It has been 4 years since I started reading the Appleby series & I find that I liked this first one more now that I am familiar with both Appleby & Innes' writing style.

dely | 5214 comments I finished reading The Cider House Rules by John Irving. I really liked the first part but then there was no development in the characters. They behaved the same way from the beginning till the end, and the whole story lasts at least 30 years. It isn't believable, it isn't real that people never change and always say and behave the same way. I wanted to rate it with 1* but seen that I liked the first part and seen that I was able to finish it, I decided for 2*.
