I usually don't plan my books ahead of time unless it's a book that will be coming up soon and I am looking forward to. I have a list of books on my Kindle waiting for me to get to and if there is nothing on their that jumps out at me I look through the Kindle Lending Library (if I haven't already borrowed my one allowed book for the month).

This series is so good. I am currently reading the last book in the series(there are only four books in the series) Hope you enjoy it.

message 714: by [deleted user] (new)

Since I made the recommendation with another GR member I think I will be reading the last 3 books by Victoria Laurie. They are funny fast reads which I think is the best for this time of the year. Also since they are pretty fast reads that will help complete my GR Reading Challenge.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) January was a fun reading month for me - read all the Harry Potters and a few other good ones. :)

For February yesterday I re-read Deenie by Judy Blume, that book is timeless. I have another full plate of buddy reads for this month -
Uprooted by Naomi Novik Firefight (Reckoners, #2) by Brandon Sanderson The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini The Alienist (Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, #1) by Caleb Carr The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux Flowers in the Attic (Dollanganger, #1) by V.C. Andrews The Long Walk by Richard Bachman Dark Currents (Agent of Hel, #1) by Jacqueline Carey The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler

Flowers in the Attic is a re-read, read it a few times growing up.

Buddy reads are ridiculously addicting but I keep overdoing it. Still need to finish these two buddy reads I ran out of time in January for - Sweep in Peace (Innkeeper Chronicles #2) by Ilona Andrews doing today, and then need to get to Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi, #1) by Eileen Wilks

Besides buddy reads, I never finished my bucket list book yet for January, The Thornbirds, so I have to read that still.

Also for books that aren't buddy or group reads but that I just want to read/start:
Be Buried in the Rain by Barbara Michaels Splintered (Splintered, #1) by A.G. Howard

I have no idea how good this month will go - doubt' I'll finish all of these - but it will be enjoyable trying.

Lisa (ylisa7) | 53 comments I am in the middle of a reading challenge. I just finished:
Speak which is a YA book about a 13 year old girl who hides inside herself after being raped. It tells of her quiet 9th grade year in school as she is shunned by others without her being able to speak up and tell people what happened to her.

Last night I finished Infidel which is an amazing story of a very brave woman. My review:

The Disappearing Girl about a girl who becomes anorexic
