Just started Magic Kingdom For Sale/Sold.
For the first time trying to read hardcover-ebook-audiobook at the same time (different books)It´s usualy 2-3 paperbacks/hardcovers and 1 audio. I rarely read ebooks since I don´t have an e-reader (except Adobe Digital Edition, on the computer)
Hardcover:
The Gravedigger's Daughter, Joyce Carol OatesEbook:
Vampires in the Lemon Grove: Stories, Karen RussellI haven´t gone far with this one, I´ve found myself avoiding it because it´s in epub which means I have to use computer for reading and that makes me less interested; I´ve read only 1/8 stories so far
Audiobook:
The Rathbones, Janice ClarkI like the narrators and like the story.
I finished The Painted Man by Peter V. Brett yesterday and really liked it.
Currently reading The Road to Serfdom and The Well of Ascension. Going to start either Truman or American Grace: How Religion Divides and Unites Us once I'm done with Road to Serfdom.

Picked it up based on a suggestion from a friend. It's just really really well written and easy to get caught up in.
Reign wrote: "Picked it up based on a suggestion from a frien..."Lucky people who read it easily. It´s one of my recommendations (from people, not friends), too.
It´s a 3 stars to me (and not enough to read the sequel, this time). Not really boring but almost. I just couldn´t lost myself in it (and I was seeing my house doctor´s office all the time)
When I see a place I´ve already visited, while reading a book, it´s a poor kind of book, in my case of course
I have been on a Robin Hobb tear this month! Read the Farseer Trilogy and now I am reading Liveship Trilogy (hlaf way through the Mad Ship)She is amazing!
Wow, lots of people reading some of my favorites this month!Hudson wrote: "I have been on a Robin Hobb tear this month! Read the Farseer Trilogy and now I am reading Liveship Trilogy (hlaf way through the Mad Ship)She is amazing!"
You (and other Hobb fans) might be interested in this group: The Robin Hobb Collection
They just started Tawny Man #1 so you're not far behind, plus the earlier books' threads are still active.
I just read the new Terry Goodkind novel, The Third Kingdom. The book is really good that should be read till the end. I glad to see that is back to his original form after a couple of misses.
I've read the Broken Kingdom trilogy, Room City of Dragons and am now on Blood of Dragons. It's a good month.
Read Blood of Tyrants, the newest Temeraire offering, and am trying Grave Witch. It was part of a 3 for 2 offering at Audible.

Finished Heir to the Empire on Tuesday and Cinderella Dressed in Ashes last night; I'm not really sure which book to tackle next. That's the problem with owning so many books: Endless choices make it hard when you want to read them ALL right NOW! LOL ;) [Perhaps some people can relate?]

Definately! In the time I finish one book, I mostly bought 4-6 new ones. My tbr-abyss is ever growing and deciding is really hard...but also a lot of fun.
Just browsing through all the books, all the possible words, maybe reading a first page in 10 books, imagining how it would be like to continue is a lot of fun for me.
And it results most often in reading 3-6 books at the same time.
Luckily I have a very good memory, at least when it comes to books, and I can leave a novel in the middle of a sentence, pause it for months, even years, and can get back to it without having to start anew.

I've enjoyed them for the most part. The dragons are hilarious. It's alternate history, of course.
Reading the night angel trilogy by Brent weeks as well as the mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. Both are great. With good characters and the mistborn trilogy have a unique setting with cool new kind of magic system based on metals. I enjoyed the change and imagination !
Finished Range of Ghosts, which was excellent! and immediately moved into the sequel, Shattered Pillars.
Shari Kay wrote: "Just finished The Rithmatist. It was so good. What an imagination Sanderson has!"I sooo agree! I mean, how cool are Chalkings?! :D
It was a long and busy month for me. I could not read as I've planned at the beginning of the month.I've read and reviewed these ones lately; The Darwin Elevator,
Prophecies Awakening, Blood of Tyrants and 25 Perfect Days.
And now starting to read Viral Nation, hope to finish this one in August:)
Also I've read at the beginnig of August, this month's poll's winner The Crown Tower. It is highly recommended.
I've read a lot since I last checked in so I'll just tell you what I'm reading now. I'm reading Heartless, Blood Rock, and I plan on starting the audio of Dead Ever After this weekend.
Reading The Ghost Brigades by John Scalzi - loved Old Man's War and have high hopes for The Ghost Brigades. I'm about a third of the way through and I'm enjoying it but disappointed at the same time (not as good as Old Man's War so far).
