Been reading A Storm of Swords sporadically throughout the summer. I've had to keep shoving it aside because new books from favorite authors/movie adaptations keep popping up. Maybe by the Fall I'll finally be finished with it, but I have to say Martin has really stepped on my heart with this one.

Benjamin - now is definitely the time to read Locke Lamora as the third book in the series is coming out this fall after a very looong wait.

I'm finishing up my reread of The Magician, book 2 in The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series by Michael Scott, and I think I'll reread the next book this month as well. Also going to resume the Wheel of Time series; hoping to reread Game of Thrones as well. Essentially the year of rereads for me ;)

Really good so far. I'm normally wary of sequel series but this one seems like it will definitely live up to the Farseer trilogy. Do read.

Hi everyone, I just joined this group today.

I'm reading

because my fellow Song of Ice and Fire fans recommended it. I read some reviews beforehand and unfortunately the negative points seem to be coming true...I'm waiting for something BIG to happen and so far it hasn't (I'm on chapter 43). Anyway, I'll be looking around this group to get some more ideas on what to read next. Might go for

Just finished A Wizard of Earthsea... enjoyable, although I think I'd have liked it more if I had read it at a younger age. Recently finished Code Name Verity which was excellent (although YA historical fiction, not sff).

Working on Tawny Man #2: Golden Fool and my new copy of the super-hard-to-find Celtic Teas with Friends.

Right now I'm reading Split. It's contemporary, and I was trying to break out of my shell. After that, I want to read Emperor of Thorns. 'cuz it's cool. But I'll probably end up reading Full Moon Kisses, which is so lame, but I'm doing a series review on it so I want to finish it.

War of the Fae by Elle Casey. I've read book 1 and 2. Book 1 is free currently on Kindle and is a very good read. Book 2 was a little slow to start with but then picked up hugely. Just downloaded the other two books. Very lively and novel plot and interesting characterisation. Excellent books and would recommend them.

Great book! The second in the series, Red Seas under Red Skies is just as good! Third in the series comes out in October if I remember right.

I was this close to starting Lies earlier this year, but when I heard about the third book I decided to wait until I could do them all at once. The only Lynch I've read is some short stories in various anthologies, but I really liked what I've seen.

Reading The Black Company right now, and it's my first taste of Glen Cook. It may also be my last. Not entirely sure why people find this series so impressive, but I'll push through and finish the first book at least. Might read The Lies of Locke Lamora next.

For those of you talking about The Lies of Locke Lamora & Red Seas Under Red Skies- great books! The second was just as good as the first. I'm looking forward to the next book, The Republic Of Thieves, to come out in the next few months.

Earlier this month I read Redshirts which was soooo good! If you're a scifi fan, especially a Star Trek fan, it's a must read. It's funny but gives you something to think about, too.

I'm more than halfway done with the Deadlocked audio. I'm enjoying it but haven't listened to it much the past few days because I've been more in the mood for music while driving. I'm almost done (kind of) with The Golem and the Jinni. I'm on edge waiting for certain characters to inevitably cross paths and I'm enjoying the anticipation. This author definitely knows how to build a story. I'm hoping to finish it this weekend. I've also started Hounded but I'm only a chapter in.

Prince of Thorns, followed by King and onto Emperor. Excellent reads. I've given up on The Claw of the Conciliator. I don't care about the characters enough to keep going.

I finished The Forge of Darkness and am still reading Black Sun Rising and Ship of Magic.

Last Argument of Kings is up on the 15th for another book club and The Curse of Chalion and The Thousand Names are lurking on the horizin.
But maybe - with so many dark and heady tomes - I'm throwing something light in, like Sourcery or God Save the Queen.

It really is. If the remaining books stay as good as they are now (I've read roughly 1/3 of each) then I might hand out 3 5-star ratings in one month, what would be quite unique.

I am currently reading Geist (a book of the order). I am about halfway through it, and frankly not enjoying it. But I will see it through to the end. I'll start something new afterwards, I want to see a kick butt hero do some kick butt things, but still quality story. Any recommendations?
