Go for it, who knows. I could never make a book plan that I'd stick to.

Yeah, I don't have a definite list. Just a bunch of books I own I'd like to try to put a dent in this year.

I have several complete things on my physical bookshelf that I've been meaning to start forever.
Among them are
- The Guardian Cycle
- Gormenghast Trilogy
- Ash Quartet
- Scavenger Trilogy
I also have more Riyria to read, which I think most of you have completed already with the latest one.
If anyone is interested in a buddy read for any of those, shoot me a message.
Let's see apart from the first one, which I just started today, these are books I already own and haven't read yet. This isn't all of that list, but quite a fair number.
They are in no particular order. A few of them are in the middle of series. So I'm not optimistic, but can't hurt to see. I suspect many are books people have already read.
We'll call this the shotgun approach :)
Red Rising
Whispers Under Ground
The Golden Compass
The Iron Jackal
The Great Escape
Eric
Watership Down
The Forever War
Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore
Breakfast of Champions
Slaughterhouse-Five
The Ocean at the End of the Lane
Neverwhere
Stardust
Zer0es
Blackbirds
The Rook
NOS4A2
His Majesty's Dragon
The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms
The Palace Job
The Android's Dream
Fight Club
The Golem and the Jinni
The Garden of Stones
The Handmaid's Tale
Quicksilver
Forge of Darkness
On Basilisk Station
The Warded Man
Prince of Thorns
Under Heaven
Pirate Cinema
Shaman's Crossing
The Story of the Stone
The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern's Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure

I've read The Golden Compass and would be interested in reading the next two if we did them
Would be up for The Golemn and the Jinni
Yeah. I tried to read FoD once and failed. I think waiting for book 3 is probably a good idea actually.

The Malazan group is probably going to read the first ICE book at the end of May. I'm not sure if I'll be joining in or not. I own that already.

However, it includes German and French titles that would be of no interest to this group, as well as some literary fiction that does not fit our SFF theme. Have a look if you like.
Rob, I'd be up for the Golden Compass.
I found the DVD in my secondhand DVD player when it arrived, but haven't watched it yet because I wanted to read it first. But it's sitting on top of my TV calling to me...

My sister bought it for me for Christmas 2 years ago, I still haven't read it. :(
I've seen mixed things, but I think she read it first and liked it.

Don't worry about a non-fantasy sci/fi title. I genre-jump all the time. I'm always interested in a reread of To Kill a Mockingbird.

I'm just about through Red Rising now, but I'd be happy to discuss it if there is interest.
I was considering doing Golden Compass next, but I'm enjoying this so much I plan to jump right into Golden Son next.
I've read both Lock In and American Gods, and I'm not up for a reread of either atm. However I'd like to Lock In again since I got both audio books when it came out and listened to the Wil Wheaton version the first time. I'd like to try the Amber Benson one eventually.

OK. That would make 3 if Jaime joins in. I can see about adding a few threads after dinner.

I've enjoyed the Red Rising discussion!

We should think of a couple that could be read in July maybe? I know mentioned above were To Kill a Mockingbird and Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore (both good books)!
I'm also going to be working through the dragon series starting with Throne of Jade , the Parasite series, the Mercy Thompson series, Charley Davidson series, and Elemental Assassin series if anyone wants to join me on any of those.
And of course - I need to finish the Saxon stories!
I have Mr. Penumbra's, so I'd be in for that.
Talking about completed series, was anyone else interested in Golden Compass besides Scott? Well he was more interested in the next two, but we could schedule that whole series out if there is interest.

For a standalone, I'd love to schedule Neverwhere, Abomination, Corsair, Children of Earth and Sky and A Criminal Magic. I'm sure there are more, I'll look more at my TBR.
Also, I really really want to read Dancer's Lament sometime in the next month or two

I should probably reread the first so I would be dow. Can probably count me as probable for Mr. Penumbra's

I'm interested in Abomination, Corsair, and A Criminal Magic too.

I am in for Wheel of Osheim and Age of Myth for sure. All the other books mentioned sound great and I'll join in if I can. Parasite and Corsair sounded cool. But don't count my vote :)

I didn't notice that. Thanks for ruining my night. :)
Man that's awful about TGR. The main reason I wanted to read that series was because he narrated it..

However, there is a bit of a lull for May before all the summer releases start. I may post a list of all the books I'm planning to read soon and see if there any takers on something. :)
