It's all right, Jacquelyn. I have no problem with that, I just wasn't sure. Glad it wasn't my other book that doesn't count because I had 6 words from that one. LOL

I am thinking of having another readathon from June 9-15th! I know lots of people will have plans because of the start of summer but I wanted to have at least two readathons this summer! Anyone in?
Awesome! :D 3 people comment and can do it?! Looks like a good sign! I'll be posting more info tonight and tomorrow! YAY!
I am planning to read one parody book this read-a-thon:
now my question: Is this counted as standalone or not?
I have a question about the points. Is the pages read for each book or for all the pages read in the read-a-thon? Also, if it is the third or fourth in a series, how do you calculate points for that? Is that counted as sequel points?

Yeah, you can count that as a standalone!

But to get points for a book you have to of started and finished the book during the readathon. And yes, they would be counted as sequel points. :)
A quick question for Manga, if it is a first volume will it count as the first in the series and manga point wise or would it just count for manga.
Jacquelyn wrote: "It would just be the 1 point for the manga plus the points for the pages. :)"Thanks~
Ashly wrote: "Does companion novels count as sequels?I'm reading Lola and the Boy Next door"
Yes, I would say count them as sequels.
I know this question has been asked already but I can't find it, so I will ask again because I want to be clear on this.If I started a book Sunday, I know I can't use it for points but can I still count it and the number of pages I read today? Thanks! :D
Yes, the pages you read during the actual readathon can be counted towards your final page count for the end of the week. :)
Anybody interested in another readathon? I know some people's summers end sooner than others so I wanted to try to schedule one that doesn't have a ton of people missing out. :)
Jacque, I'd love to join!!! But I start back to work August 1 and I'll be at our annual Cousins Camp July 23-30. IF at all possible to schedule it before that, I'll be able to join.
ummm....I'll leave that up to everyone elseI'm good either way
but definitely thought week long was fun :)
I will definitely keep that in mind, Vicki! I may have to make it soon (like July 7th soon) because we also have plans later in the month of July.

I personally like the week long ones better too. I'll see what some other people say as well. :)
Mandiann wrote: "I will join as much as possible but will be working 5 of 7 days."Is this for the July 7th week? I think that is the only week I could do in July or else it would have to be in August and a lot of people's summers are over by then.
The 24 hour readathon was really fun! I hope we get to do another one soon, but I dk lime the week long one as well! :)
I loved the week long one as well, but I was not able to be on a computer most of that time cuz I was on vacation so I got a little lost recording my days/page read. Hopefully this time will be different.

It's for pretty much any week this summer unless it incorporates a holiday.

Jacquelyn wrote: "Alright, I am thinking that we do a week long in July and a 24 hour readathon in August."What about a 48 hour one in August over a weekend?
With so many people, it is very hard to get a week or even a day that works for everyone. If I could, I would make it a week that no one has any big plans but that is nearly impossible. I think I will make the readathon for July 7th through the 13th.
Then maybe we can do a 48 hour readathon in August as suggested by Mandiann.

Actually, I do like that idea, Mandiann! Maybe we can do that instead!
