I'm reading book 2 of the Elder Races series, an urban fantasy/paranormal romance. I really liked book one and so far I'm enjoying book 2, although it's taking a lot time to read since I don't have much time. The series has a lot of sex, but the story world itself is fascinating and the characters--and their abilities--are very cool. I also tend to gravitate toward alpha male heroes, and these books have that in spades.

What book(s) are you reading this week?

Are you reading Widow of Larkspur Inn because someone mentioned it on Christian Fiction Devourers? :) I remember really liking it when I read it.

Ausjenny | 225 comments its good so far. I am so slow lately. I finished one book this month and that was a novella (and only one part of one).

It was probably me that mentioned it - I'm enjoying it, it's a sweet, comfort-type read :) I'm a little surprised that I'd not heard of the author before.

I've been slow lately, too! This is so strange when I used to read so many books a month.

I haven't seen anything new from that author in a long time, so maybe she only wrote that series or a few other books before stopping writing? Authors drift away from writing for a variety of reasons. Although I hope it wasn't health issues. :(

I tried seeing if she did any interviews or anything like that online but couldn't find anything except for her page on the Bethany House website. Yeah, i hope it wasn't health relate either :(

I got them all on e-book as well. The first one I got free a long time ago and really enjoyed it in most parts and were bothered by other small parts. I am really hard sometimes, but when I praise something it is authentic and the praise worth more. The whole series as e-books was on sale recently from $1.99 to $3.99 in ascending price of the order of the book in the series so I couldn't resist.

Ladette (pwnmom) | 10 comments Well, I am still reading Iscariot by Tosca Lee and I found out I have already read The Name of this Book is Secret. I finished Gone to Green and have already read the second book in that series... and am now well into the third book in the series. I LOVE it! It's an easy read... kinda reminds me of the Mitford Series by Jan Karon.

Me too! I had book 2 in paperback that my friend had lent to me, but when I saw the ebooks on sale I just went ahead and bought them so I can return my friend's book. :)

I haven't read that series yet but I heard it was really good! I've never heard it compared to Mitford, though--that's good to know! I loved the Mitford series.
