Lynda Castro Cordero A bit far off I may go. All my questions have been asked but I loved the book. Everytime I pick up a one of your books I feel like fall inside the story. Life changing.

message 1606: by Sierra (new)

The cuckoo's calling? It was fun, and kind of reminded me of the Lawrence Sanders McNally books

message 1611: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Riopel I want to read it too

message 1612: by Megan (new) - rated it 4 stars

Megan I have noticed that portions of the book are very sexual in nature. Did you have specific reasons for doing this and, if so, what were those reasons?

message 1613: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Riopel Ok now I'm kind of on the fence about reading that book

message 1614: by Alexandra (new) - added it

Alexandra Was it hard writing a book after having been writing about the same characters (in the Harry Potter series)? Or did you like being able to write something else? Having freedom to write whatever you want?

message 1615: by Alexandra (new) - added it

Alexandra Are you ever going to write another series?

Are you ever going to write for a young adult audience again?

message 1616: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Riopel I hope she writes another series

message 1619: by Aradia (new)

message 1620: by Lorrie (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lorrie I liked this book while at the same time finding it a little depressing. I can't help but wonder if Ms. Rowling's draws on her own experiences for many of the characters.

message 1621: by Marisa (new)

Marisa She's making a book like Harry potter

message 1622: by Dixie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dixie Goode Not quite, Marisa but close. She is writing a screenplay for Warner Brothers, set in the Wizarding world and based on the author of a textbook used in Harry Potter, Newt Scamander. It will begin a new series, not of books, but of movies, and will start 70 years before Harry is born. "Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find Them"

message 1623: by [deleted user] (new)

message 1624: by Kenneth (new) - rated it 3 stars

Kenneth Do you tire of people asking you when you are going to write another Harry Potter book? How do you feel The Casual Vacancy compares with the Harry Potter series, in terms of writing style, genre, or content?

message 1625: by Sofea (new)

Sofea Elydia How Casual Vacancy had given an inspiration to you?

message 1626: by [deleted user] (new)

Will you be writing anymore teen books? Because I have probably read the harry potter book series over 15 times and I wish it could continue... Though I relies that that is unrealistic... So anything that you might be writing? Anymore books by you that might be coming out in the near future in the gene of teen fiction?
That's it...
THANKS!!!
-Amelia

It will begin a new series, not of books, but of movies, and will start 70 years before Harry is born. "Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find Them" was the textbook Harry used and the first movie will probably have that title it sounds like

Fia Senja Membiru what is the hardest thing of writing The Casual Vacancy, because that novel takes different theme with your first novel?
