Last week I finished "We'll Always Have Summer" by Jenny Han, the third and last installment in the Summer trilogy. LOVED IT. I'm currently reading "Boyfriends with Girlfriends" by Alex Sanchez, and so far it's pretty good.
I'm staring at The Invention of Hugo Cabret. It's kinda like a graphic novel. I've been told by several people that it's a quick read, but my eyes are so bad and the illustrations are so dark I'm just too intimidated to actually pick it up and open it. Meanwhile I'm reading The Princess and the Goblin / Princess and Curdie (Oxford World's Classics.

I was really frustrated with the first two; Conrad is such a jerk, and treats the main character (I forget her name at the moment) so badly. But I keep hearing good things about the last one. If she does end up with Conrad (don't tell me!!), he better grovel at her feet for forgiveness.
I just finished After, a good read but kind of a downer. Now I am starting Wintergirls and it doesn't seem to be anymore upbeat but so far it has me intrigued. Next book will have to be humerous (probably Hoot or Diary of a Wimpy Kid.)
tx Heather. I still haven't read it. Finished My Brilliant Career in the meantime. I'm reading (Hugo Cabret) for an April discussion though so I'd better get on it!
Alicia wrote: "I finished Inside Out, and am moving directly on to Outside In."I hope you enjoy the second book, Alicia. I am currently re-reading Outside In. I'm a little less engrossed in the story the second time round but that has more to do with outside factors (hehe!).
Just finished Candor last night. Really liked it. But I can't seem to fint it into the reading challengs =( oh well. Think I'll start Across the Universe tonight. But I also picked up Downsiders at the library. Decisions, decisions.
I'm reading Emma by Jane Austen on my phone, which I haven't read in years.I've also started reading a hard copy of On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta (why won't it let me select just "Jellicoe Road"??? My copy doesn't say On The!) which is confusing the heck out of me. I am sticking with it because enough of my trusted friends here on GR say to :)
I've also started the non-fiction audiobook Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. Interesting, to say the least!
I'm not reading a YA book either. Finished The Lost Hero (which was awesome) so now I'm reading The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake for my book club.
Oh, I loved Jellicoe Road! I'm readingUnder the Dome and it is pretty good, but I'm anxious to get back to some YA!
Alien earth by Megan Lindholm. It's called YA, but I don't know why - except that the human protagonists are pre-pubescent. But that's because we've become extremely long-lived, in part because we artificially delay the start of puberty until well past the age of adulthood. Good book - lots of interesting ideas developed from a core of exploring man's r'ship to his environment.
AngelaSunshine wrote: "I'm on page 150 now of Jellicoe Road. Hoping it all pulls together soon, haha!"I loved Jellicoe Road. It is pretty foreign and confusing at first, but I ended up loving it. And Griggs rocks.
I'm currently reading a Discovery of Witches and LOVING it. I'll be so sad when it's over. So far it looks like a book I will be recommending to everyone.
I thought Conrad was a giant jerk and Jeremiah was a sweet angel - until I read the third book. Belly has a lot to go through and think about in this last installment, and it's not easy for her. I hope you enjoy reading it, and tell me what you think when you are done. :)Kirsten wrote: "Tatiana wrote: "Last week I finished "We'll Always Have Summer" by Jenny Han, the third and last installment in the Summer trilogy. I'm finally reading
for the first time in my life. I got the box set, so I'm excited to read them all.
Finished up my romance novel. Getting ready to read The Lost Gate by Orson Scott Card. Don't think it's YA but I've read most of his other books and really enjoyed them.
I'm rereading City of Bones right now, as I got the fourth book for my birthday recently, but feel like I need to read the trilogy again first. I'm still loving Discovery of Witches (not YA), and would like to do nothing but read it, but my messy kitchen awaits.
I'm listening to Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink on audiobook, which I was really wanting to read despite mediocre reviews. I'm finding it mediocre too. Boo.I've also just started Give Up the Ghost by Megan Crewe. Starting out good, hoping it stays that way!
I take that back. Not reading Awakened, reading Burned. Cannot keep these one name House of Night titles straight.
Finished Burned and I absolutely loved it. I think it's the best one in the series so far. Starting In Too Deep today. Book six in the series. Happy that they are quick reads.
Finished the The Ruins of Gorlan and loved it. I will definetly be looking for the next in the series. Now I am reading Life As We Knew It and I can't put it down.

I'm reading King of the Mild Frontier: An Ill-Advised Autobiography by Chris Crutcher
, which is pretty funny so far. I'm glad Chris found a channel for all the energy he had as a kid!
