What did Jay say?

Wrong shelf, please move from Solved Non-fiction to Solved Adult Fiction: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Your recent crackdown on requests without an informational header seems draconian. An automatic shutdown?I do get that years of writing exactly the same reminder could make you very weary of barely-literate newbies who don't read the rules.
This person's request belongs in the "Suggest books for me" folder, where I assume he put it first: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
The book in this post, https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/..., is on the "searched-for-more-than-once" shelf, but it's the same post twice.
This person is spamming the general folder with narratives not within the scope of this group.https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Sal has unintelligible responses in several posts. Not sure if it is spam or what... One of them prints sideways on my screen. Mad libs, plot for Shrek, Shark Boy and Lava Girl.https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Do you think that when you shut down people's threads for lack of details in the headers, they think they're forbidden to post again? I do.I found the book one person was looking for, but her post was shut down before I could suggest it. I did suggest the book someone else was looking for, but his thread was shut down before he could confirm.
With the current shut-down message, I think people could easily think that they're being told to go away. Shouldn't it include info on how to improve the header? Since they're newbies, they probably don't even know how. They're just being driven away.
It does contain information about how to write their header. It links to the Group Rules. The Rules will answer many of people's questions, if they will bother to read them.
Yes, but I still think it should say that if they revise their header, the thread will be reopened. Is that in the rules?

This thread can be closed as the poster has set up new threads for the books she is looking for
