Kristina | 588 comments I like to read Dresden between the big books, or when I'm just not sure what I want to start next. It's an easy "well I know I'll like this" kind of decision.

Leigh Bain (binarywoman) | 14 comments David, the wheel of time series along with the black company are my next series of books to read after the war of light & shadow. I've heard amazing things about the wheel of time & look forward to getting to it, soon! I'm almost done with these 11 from janny wurts. it's been about a year or more, I can only imagine how long 35 week take! dyslexia & add a slow reader in I make! lol.

Michele | 1154 comments Ooh The Black Company series is great, and I don't usually like books about wars and armies. Jordan's WoT, well, the first three or so I enjoyed, then the next few are a slog, then I wanted to just use the others to bash my brain and then I finally gave up. Someday maybe I'll make it to the last few.

I read some of the middle books during long cross-country trips before I had a smart phone. Lots of time in an airport/plane with nothing else to do is good motivation to read.

I think it took me like 4-6 months to slog through Crossroads of Twilight though.

The end of that got pretty good as I recall and I jumped into Knife of Dreams and finished that much faster.

Still it's a lot to ask of someone to be like: "Well the first 3 books, and the last 4 books are excellent, and there are some pretty good ones in the middle, but there are also some mind numbing ones as well.."

Especially for a 14 book, 4+ million word series. I still think it was worth it for me though. lol.
