Okay, I've tweaked my list around so am reprinting it. I finally found a doctor book I think I can read. I changed the stand-alone book since I discovered Nerd in Shining Armor is part of a series. And added Being Nikki as my female profile cover book. I was NOT happy when I read the first book Airhead (my one word title book for last month) and discovered, without warning it was... to be continued! The book was odd (ie brain transplant), but after investing so much time in it, of course now I want to see how it ends. If it ends. It's like being at the scene of an accident and not being able to look away! lolMay Reading Challange

Note to Briansgirl: I think Meg Cabot planned a trilogy for the Airhead books! I too got sucked in. I just started Being Nikki and it will be a quick read at least. I can't help but love her characters and their smart mouths!
Melissa wrote: "Note to Briansgirl: I think Meg Cabot planned a trilogy for the Airhead books! I too got sucked in. I just started Being Nikki and it will be a quick read at least. I can't help but love her ch..."Almost all of her books are quick reads and I've enjoyed them. Airhead shocked me as I wasn't expecting anything like it at all. I was so upset when I realized there was no ending to the first book. However, I'm in this far... so might as well keep going as I want to know how it ends. At least I'm not the only one sucked in! lol If however, I'd known what it was going in, I'd probably not have read this series. And I guessed Meg wouldn't stop at 2 books in a series. Most of hers are quite extensive and I figured she had enough here to work with to write quite a few.

Finished another novella. Heat is the first book I've read by Tory Temple and I'm looking forward to reading more of her. Heat was a sweet love story about two fireman/paramedics. My only complaint was that it should have been a full length novel. There is a sequel though so I'll get to spend a little more time with Chance and Tucker :)

Welcome Katie!!! That's a CUTE avatar you've got there!I've noticed that I either compile the monthly list as I read (one at a time) or list all the books at first (and then change them anyway as I feel fit - Ooops!!).
So starting small is a good strategy, keeps it simple... LOL.
Nice to have you Katie.
Welcome, Katie. Participants have different styles doing the challenges. Keeping it simple is yours...Enjoy yourself and have fun reading..that is the main goal.

I enjoy picking the books out for the challenges. But later I tend to either not be in the mood for a particular book, or find something better and swap out about half my list as I go along. lol
Welcome Katie. Half the fun for me is picking out the books to fit the challenge. I wait anxiously every month for Yz to post the new challenge and then drop everything to pick out the books. I probably need therapy though so don't listen to me. Glad you've joined us. Have fun!

Just finished Personal Best A Going for the Gold Novel. This was a really great story and there's a sequel! Yippee! Jessie is an up and coming swim coach and Mike is a swimmer attending the University of Texas. The UT coach recognizes Mike's potential and asks Jessie to become his personal coach. This is a Sean Michael book so of course there is lots and lots of hot sex but it's also a love story and a small glimpse into the world of olympic level swimming.
