oh...that's a tough one. Sickening. I can handle horror just fine...it's the real-life horrific people that get me.

I think the first book is great, I'll definitely read the final two.

I'm currently reading “Interview with a Vampire” for the first time. It's early days, but I'm enjoying the style so far.
I finally finished The Widow as mentioned below, 1★ so boring and predictable, now reading The Missing by C L Taylor I'm enjoying this one
Just finished NICKEL a YA book that is amazingly well written (at least from my POV). Check out my review at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Finished up They Thirst

Almost done with City on Fire by Garth Risk Halberg, and hoping to finish The Evolution of Bruno Littlemore by Benjamin Hale before the end of the year.
Just posted my review of the Hobbet. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...I had a hard time finding the discussion thread for this read or I would have said more along the way. Sorry about that.
Finsihed World Gone By
by Dennis Lehane. An excellent gangster novel by possibly the best genre writer of his generation. A much improved book from its disappointing predecessor Live by Night. Rating - 5/5.My review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I just started the second story in the book and it seems very different from the first (not better or worse) and quite a bit suspenseful. If the other stories are as good as the first two, this book is going to be a favourite.
Just started Boys Life by Robert McCammon. I've never read it, but it seems to have gotten good reviews.
I've finished Master and Commander, nice story, but I found some boring moments. I think I'll read the next, to get a better idea.
Just finished my annual venture into, "A Christmas Carol", currently jumping around King's "Skeleton Crew" and then on to Martin's , "A Storm of Swords".
Just finished Bryan Smith's 'House of Blood'. I liked it. I think he is slightly underrated. All his ideas are very original. There's a sequel called 'Queen of Blood', i already have it on the way lol. He's very detailed and the story lines always make sense, as well as gory and disturbing. Probably going to read 'Cell' by the Man Stephen King next. Cant wait!
I'm in the midst of finishing up
I really got sucked into Gillian Flynn's other two novels but this one seems to be a clunker. I'm around 80% through so we'll see what happens to end it, but so far it looks like a 3-star read.
Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
I've seriously lost the plot with goodreads the last few months but new year and all that, anyway finished dark places by gillian flynn rated 4★ now reading missing presumed by Susie steiner and it's good so far considering I'm sick to death of stories about missing girls
