My suggestion is It; I believe there is a new movie coming to theaters soon. The movie poster is of the clown near the sewer entrance; wow it just now gave me the goosebumps lol.

After a long reading hiatus (I did read Mr Mercedes upon it's release, but we moved June 21st so my focus has been there for the past month). Just got The Demonologist by Andrew Pyper. This book won the Thriller of the Year 2013. It was recommended by author Douglas Preston (to readers of his books), whose novel White Fire (written with Lincoln Child) was also nominated, and that I loved very much. Very excited to be reading again. We are still buried under boxes in our office/library/reading room, but progress is being made. I have missed reading. Glad to be back!

IT!!!!
SK's best; it had a profound effect on me many years ago when i read this. My son got into SK as a teen as the house was full of his books, and his favourites are IT and The Shining.
I haven't read anyone else who develops their characters as well as SK does - he makes you fall in love with them, and then does things to them that make you scream "NO!"
Couple that with his plots and his way of writing horror scenes, and there's simply no-one better.
I just re-read The Shining after 25 years, and it was magnificent. I recommend that too - both early masterpieces.

Okay, so the evidence is piling up that I have to go back to IT for a reread. But between now and then that Ted Bundy guy and the non-fiction thriller about him, The Stranger Beside Me, is keeping me on edge.

Thanks Annette! I just read the Shining at the beginning of the year and loved it too. I had gotten Dr Sleep as a gift and thot I should re read the original beofore the sequel.

So far I've only read about a third of the volume, but it seems fantastic. Designs are strange, sometimes the characters seem caricature, other express very well their peculiarities. A good job!

Hey folks, there's another vampire book that's really good. Bloody Bess and the Doomsday Games. A few passages are right out of Dracula. It's written by some guy named Nick.

I am currently listening to the audio version of The Colorado Kid. It started off a bit slow but has picked up the pace a bit more now.

So far it's ok. We've been binge watching Haven at home which is not like the book at all...at least to this point it's not. I was hoping for more Haven material, but I guess it's not going to come.

I love Haven!It's just based on the setting and town, using the Colorado Kid as a starting point.

I've been reading Insurgent just because I have to finish the series. It is overly repetitive and obnoxious. 3 cheers for "strong female leads" that cry in every chapter! hip, hip....crickets.

I had quit a book about a year ago called In the Lake of the Woods by Tim O'Brien. And it wasn't even that bad of a book and I was more than half way done with it but I just couldn't get my mind off of the Hunger Games movie I had just watched and I was like obsessed with it. I wanted to read the Hunger Games so decided to quit the book I was reading and start THG and I eventually read the entire series. I figured I would pick back up where I left off on In the Lake of the Woods. So that's what im reading now.
