I liked the idea of it but the dialogue and situations the characters were in didn't do it for me, came off a bit cheesy but just my opinion. Now reading:

Just finished The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon and starting Summer of Fear (Read-A-Long with the kids)
Currently reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. It's really a phenomenal read. Still got quite a bit to go on it, but it's been a really good read thus far. Project Hail Mary

The only other book I've read by him was Swan Song which obviously was amazing! I'm enjoying Mine so far. The other two you mentioned are definitely on my list!
