There's a "*FREEBIE or freebie" shelf this go 'round. When/if this shelf is called, players have the option to either (1) read a freebie from their personal shelf (must be a free download, library or loaner book) -OR- (2) read a book from the freebie shelf; link will be provided when/if shelf is called. All other shelves should be self-explanatory, but, as always, feel free to ask questions at any time!

First shelf announcement = Sunday morning (JST), 2 June

ETA: Also, please check to make sure your "virtual card" matches the photo of your bingo card. If there are any discrepancies, please let me know ASAP. Thanks!

ETA2: Remember, everyone must read, rate & review a book for the team to get their free space stamp. This book can be read at anytime throughout the game, however, until all members have RR&R'd no stamp. Please see the free space rules thread for details on choosing your book.

You cannot start reading for any space, including the free space, until the game has officially started and the first shelf has been announced.

I read through the FAQ and didn't find enough of an answer to this question:

When shelves are called will a link be posted of the list that we choose from or is it up to us to look for a shelf listed as such?

Hi, Danielle. Great question. Yes, when the shelf is announced, the name of the shelf and a direct link will be posted. Players are required to pick a book from the shelf. The book can be found listed on any page of the shelf listing, but the book itself must be 200+ pages.

You can take a look at the shelf announcement page for R6 to get an idea of how it'll look. Hope that helps! :)

Please take a look at your team's card on it (link below). Let me know about any mixed up squares or spelling errors...my fingers really wanted to use "sould mates" and "strong heroins"...sigh...

I'm just checking but for the free space if we choose a book of the month can it be from any month/year or does it have to be a recent one :)

example: Defiance by C.J. Redwine was BOM October 2012

I think it can be any BOM that we are reading during the play of the game OR any archived BOM that the group has read. That means that Defiance would work, I think.
