LOL, ladies! The thing is that I'm going on vacation in August - which is after the 2 month mark and I'll be with my husband so no reading there. :(

ETA: If you're good to go until Aug, you may be able to find someone who would tag ya out while you're on holiday and tag ya back in when you return. Just a thought. But, for that to work, your "partner player" would have to be 100% ready to jump in where ever you left off.

Thanks! I will - I did read the directions and it seemed *sort of* straight forward but I'm sure once I start playing I'll have question,lol

I did some calculations and I'll be travelling for weeks 10, 11 and 13 of the challenge (the first two on vacation and the third is my yearly business trip to my job's Customer Service center.)
The business trip is not a problem so I should have plenty of time to read there. I should be fine with week 10 as we always travel on a Mon-Tues so I'll have time to read that week's book before I leave.
The problem is week 11 but only if that's the last week of the challenge and my group is in contention.
Let me see if I can find somebody to cover for me. I would only ask if week 11 is the last week and my team can win with that shelf.
Makes sense. Sadly, there's no way to know in advance how long the challenge will last. Could be shorter than 10 weeks, could be longer.

As many of you already know, Book Shelf Bingo is harder to explain than it is to play. If you are interested, but unsure how to play, please review these threads for more details:
How to: Simplified for the short & sweet version of how the game works; How to: Get Started, Get Playin' & Get Winnin' for detailed instructions on how to play the game; Free Space Rules for rules related to choosing your free space book; and our Q&A thread for answers to some frequently asked questions. You are also welcome to look through the past team threads (in our Archive: Past Team Challenges folder ) to get an idea of how the game flows.
REMINDERS:
➸ Each player must check-in a minimum of once a week following the shelf announcement. Let your teammates know which book you will be reading. We are understanding of RL issues that may arise throughout the game keeping you from posting, however, this is a TEAM challenge. Your teammates depend on you to participate and communicate with them. Your teammates and I thank you in advance!
➸ There is no way to know in advance how long the game will last. Past rounds have lasted 2.5-4.5 months. The shelves are chosen using random.org, so there is always a chance the game could go on for a shorter or longer time period.
➸ If you wish to play, please follow these steps:
(1) Sign up below stating whether you’d like to be a PLAYER or added to the STAND-BY list [Stand-by players should be prepared to jump in on short notice.]
(2) Go to the BSB R7 Event page and RSVP ‘yes’, if you wish to play or ‘maybe’ if you wish to be put on the stand-by list. NO PM will be sent out, the Event RSVP is your confirmation. An event reminder email will be sent to you one-day before the game begins.
Once all players have RSVP'd, I will randomize everyone and create teams. Please RSVP no later than Monday, 27 May.
