XD I love book shopping at Goodwill. Due to being basically broke, cheap books at Goodwill help. The other day, there was like a brand new hard back Mockingjay book for three dollars! I flipped through it, and there were no torn pages or bent pages--it was, like, perfect. Sadly, I didn't buy it... :(

I'm going to a book signing where I live on Monday. Julie Kagawa, Aimee Carter, and Karen Ann Hopkins will all be there! Can't wait to get my stuff signed! =D

City of Bones was hardback, and in very, very good condition. Just Listen was only slightly worn, but it was still a very good deal. City of Bones was $3.00 and Just Listen was only 50 cents!

It's really good Julia. I'm on Beautiful Darkness book #2. I finished #1 day before yesterday. The atmosphere of the book was really good and dark. A southern gothic tale which is a bit haunted in its own style. I hope you enjoy reading it.
I ordered paperback copies of Obsidian by JLA and The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight. :)

But it's kinda love/hate book. Many loved it but many didn't. They simply hated it. Although it was a good read for me. I'm planning to complete the series.

Yeah as far as book-to-movie adaptations go, the books are usually better. I HATED The Lightning Thief.

I just picked up Highway in the Blood by Kevin Macneil Brown. I haven't gotten it in the mail yet, but I can't wait. The protagonist is a badass steel guitar player who returns home to his native Vermont. I'm a Vermonter and I love Brown's poetic descriptions of the landscape that paint the mood of his main character, who solves a crime and hopefully gets some action.
