Ever continued to smile and she looked down, closing her eyes and relaxing. Jake was actually very comfortable and she felt sleep pulling at her almost right away.
He mindlessly started to gently stroke her hair.

Ever smiled softly, relaxing more until she eventually fell asleep, curled up in a small ball with her head still on Jake's lap.
He still watched tv, slowly drifting off himself as he leaned against the back wall of the bed.

Ever remained asleep, dreaming of nothing really except small flashes and images of Jake and her when they first met and escaped.
He fell asleep after a while, his hand placed on Ever's back.

Ever woke up about an hour later from a headache. She cried out softly and her body tensed, holding her head. It didn't hurt as much as it did when she was in the shower, but it was enough that she begun to cry. She curled up and her body shook violently.
Jake woke up suddenly, looking at her and panicking. "What's going on?" he said aloud, taking her close.

"Okay, just breathe...do like we did before..." he coached her, even though she was writhing in pain, he knew she could pass this.

Ever managed a slight nod and she held onto Jake tightly, wishing that it would go away soon enough.
He stroked her hair smoothly, coaching her to breath gently so it would go away.

Ever took deep, shaking breaths, the pain eventually beginning to fade slowly away. Just as she thought it was over, the pain hit her full on once more and she gasped, eyes opening wide. " Ever sweetheart, this will be a good change for you. I'm sure you will get along just fine if you just take the time to get to know each other," a women said and she glanced over at Ever from the mirror that she was sitting in front of. The women had long curly brown hair and hazel eyes. Ever shifted on the bed and frowned.
" But mom, I've only have met him a couple of times. How will I know if he really is good for me?" she asked in a slightly whiny voice. Her mother sighed softly and turned back toward the mirror, putting on some earrings.
" Ever, please don't argue with me anymore. Justin is just perfect for you. He has a steady job, a nice home, he's handsome and he treats you well. What more do you want in a husband?" was her mother's reply and she chuckled softly as she spoke. Ever sighed once again and laid down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. ' It's not all about what he has mother...It's about how I feel too...,' she thought, just as the door opened and a man came into the room...
Ever gasped as her headache went away suddenly and she sobbed softly, her grip on Jake tightening.
"Ever...Ever!" he panicked, "Are you alright?" he gntly caressed her cheeks, trying not to move her. "Talk to me..." he told her.

Ever's body was shaking violently from the sudden memory and she couldn't speak for a couple long moments. Finally, her grip of Jake loosened and she looked over at him." I remembered something....," she whispered, swallowing thick.

He thought for a moment, "I dont know what that could be..." he said softly. "Do you know where you were?"

Finally, Ever let out a shaky breath and pulled away from Jake a bit, staying close and in his arms though. She rubbed her eyes, looking up at Jake. She looked so small and helpless at that moment, worn out almost even though she just slept.

"Sorry..." he replied, looking away. He sighed, noticing she wasn't wearing a ring either. "Well that's a huge clue...maybe someone is looking for you."

Ever hugged him back, wrapping arms around his neck. She hated that she couldn't remember too much of that memory she had and hated that it was so confusing...
He held her close to him, loving the feel of her near him again. He was, however, concerned about her memory. She could be a married woman after all...
