Just got done reading The Sixes by Kate White I really enjoy this book i so couldnt put it down. I am so going read more from her.
Kiss Me While I Sleep by Linda Howard Not one of my fav books i though it was kind of boring on some of it but still good mystert
Daddy's Gone A Hunting by Mary Higgins Clark I Loved it but then again its Mary Higgins Clark one of my all time fav writers ever! I was shock how it end. I so cant wait for her new book to come out just loved her books!
I just finished
. It was a good book but the review said it was creepy like
and I don't find that very accurate. It didn't disturb me like "kiss the girls" did. It seemed more along the line of

Malina.....I hope you will go back to the earlier books and read them too. You'd get the entire flavor of Reacher. We ladies love Reacher!!!!! And not the Tom Cruise version.
Lee Child's books are so entertaining.

I definitely will, I really liked Reacher!
My latest book, Complicit WitnessComplicit Witness is featured on Booksends and on sale for only 99 cents at Amazon reached top 4 best sellers in crime genre
Just finished the hitman novel The Devil Doesn't Want Me by the excellent Eric Beetner. It's action packed and has moments to pause for thought. Very well written and thoroughly entertaining. Recommended.
I just started
and whoa........did it start out with a bang! Literally. This is Book One in a new series for Chris Mooney. This will be a hot, fast read!!!!!
Hi M, I too am a Jack Reacher fan but I can't bring myself to watch the movie and I really have not read Lee Child since the movie but would do a buddy read if you want although I've never done one:-):-)
I haven't seen the movie either. Tom Cruise does not ring my bell and he sure as heck is NO REACHER! "The Rock" was more my choice.:-)

Just picked up Tripwire. Looking forward to reading that one.

Last night I finished 12th of Never - James Patterson. Now I am not sure what I am going to read, it's between a couple of ARCS lol.
I finished Bones of the Lost by Kathy Reichs last night and it was a bit of a disappointment. Today I'm starting Christine by Stephen King for a King group read.
Read
. Didn't like it one bit. Couldn't finish it. I like the "Legal & Trial" genre. So I thought, here is another "Grisham" type of book. Problem was that it becomes kind of a religious book. It starts with a small trickle of mentioning God, and later on becomes a flood. I am not a religious person. I don't believe in God. Seems as if the author is trying to convince us otherwise. Why not stick to the trial story. Why bring God and church time and again. After 40% through the book, I gave up. There are so many other good books out there
I read only 10% of
.Took me Tenth of the book to realize I am reading a sexual book, and about Homo Sexual. Since I am not into it, I just dumped it after 16%. Could be fine for others. Not for me.
Jacob,I hate to waste a book.......but if it does not give me instant happiness.......then I move on to something better.
I give a book 125 pages! If i don't love it by then, it's in the GW bag.
None of us love all of them.
Now I'm reading Desperation by Kingafter read Doctor Sleep and after
I'll finish reading Wulf Dorn'thrillers

I know that feeling when you are getting into a book and ask yourself "what the heck am I reading" and it was not the genre you were expecting.
just finished reading
Started the next one which is the sea of monsters. even tho i have seen the movies already i wanted to start reading the series anyways.
Jeff wrote: "Just finishedThe House of Silk: A Sherlock Holmes Novel by Anthony Horowitz."Me too Jeff. I was pleasantly surprised. I've read most, if not all of Doyle's Sherlock Holmes adventures over the years & almost didn't bother reading this, thinking it would be a pale comparison to the original. A completely authentic Holmes/Watson mystery in every way, bar the author's name. Recommended.
Just finished Sleepyhead by Mark Billingham. It was his debut Tom Thorne novel and was totally absorbing with a killer twist right near the end. I'm now 40-odd pages into Six Years, the latest novel by Harlan Coben, which is warming up very nicely.
I finished Watchman by Ian Rankin, a spy book written before the Rebus detective series. In this story, Miles Flint is a British spy. While watching an Arab suspect Flint gets distracted by a woman; the suspect gets away and kills an Israeli man. Flint thinks there was a leak in his agency and investigates. Soon afterward surveillance of terrorists is called off prematurely and Flint gets more suspicious of his agency. Pretty soon Flint's suspicions are confirmed and he sets out to uncover the dirty secrets people are trying to hide. There are a lot of flat characters in this story but it's an okay espionage novel.

Just found some of the Lawrence Sanders books on the library eBook/Kindle downloads. Enjoyed them years ago, particularly the Edward X. Delaney series, but had more or less forgotten them. Finding the re-reads enjoyable, a bit 'old fashioned' of course, but wonderful characters and classic police procedural plots.

I finished The Pure in Heart, a DCI Simon Serrailler mystery by Susan Hill last night and enjoyed very much. It's the second in the series, my first. She has a unique style, develops her story methodically and tells it interestingly. I had previously read her Woman in Black and enjoyed. She also can tell a mystery. Excellent and highly recommend. (4 stars)

I am not sure I can handle any more of Susan Hill. You develop a fondness for a character and then she kills them off or they die!
I'm reading The 6th Target by James Patterson. It's a good plot but I can't help but notice that this story is going a lot slower than the rest of the books in the series. Anyone else notice this?
Bethany wrote: "I'm reading The 6th Target by James Patterson. It's a good plot but I can't help but notice that this story is going a lot slower than the rest of the books in the series. Last night I finished Chasing Adonis - Gina Ardito and now reading Jack: Grime and Punishment - Z.A. Maxfield.

This was my least favorite for the reason that you mentioned.

If you're into the legal genre, you may want to try the William Diehl series starting with Primal Fear.

The damsel in distress was taller than Cruise, he had to reach over his head to flip the light switch, he looked like an old man driving a car while looking under the steering wheel. While Reacher fills a door frame ... um, Tom does not.

1st to Die was my favorite, also, but I really liked The 5th Horseman. It is a close second.

I just finished the first Jack Reacher thriller, Killing Floor and enjoyed very much. It was definitely an action-packed story; a solid 3.5 stars by my reckoning. Starting Number 2, Die Trying next.
