maria helena (mariahel) Find the blue

To get us started, our first mini-challenge is a cover-hunt. Find those blue covers that have been hidden in your bookshelves. Bonus points for any covers with sparkles or glitter.

Thanks Maria Helena for this. This answers my question on the captain's thread. I shall add this link to the spreadsheet for easy reference.

I think it's blue enough. There are many different shades of blue.

Looks blue to me, Dragana. Blue-grey. ☺

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) Thanks everybody, so I'm counting that as blue too. 4 blue books. I'm on a roll. ;)

maria helena (mariahel) Short and sweet

To keep the momentum from the read-a-thon going, we have another mini-challenge. This time, let's read short books (less than 250 pages, but more than 160 to count for the main challenge).

This sounds good Maria Helena. I've been sorting out my books to do just this. This challenge has come at a great time. Thanks

Count me in.

message 17: by maria helena (new)

maria helena (mariahel) I finished a short book :)

A Perfect Fit (DiCarlo Brides #1) by Heather Tullis by Heather Tullis.
Easy read that I can highly recommend for anyone who likes contemporary romance. I also read the next 3 books in the series (although they were all a little over 250 pages)

Fair enough.

message 21: by Skandia (new)

Skandia (sfgirl) Sry, girls, looks like there will be no shortish books for me this month.
I'm struggling to finish by the end of May couple of chunksters I have started earlier.

By the way, the new group challenge looks interesting and maybe we can start planning and sharing the tasks?
I do know some books already I want to read in June.

message 22: by Dragana (new)

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) The same as you Skandia, I do not have many short books on my tbr, but group challenge sounds fun.
Maybe we should make new topic (like for read-a-thron) and update our progress/make plans there?

message 23: by maria helena (new)

maria helena (mariahel) Zara has started a new thread for the June/July group challenge

Read a book set during the Christmas holiday, a book set in the southern hemisphere, or a book with a white, red or green cover. Alternatively, read a book that someone gave to you as a gift.
