TT June - July 7% Challenge Solution

Thanks Dragana,
I shall put you down for 21 books and then if need be I can adjust it up or down later

Thanks Maria Helena. I've added your goal estimate.

As I'm travelling in June, I really need to prepare ahead. Couple of long flights, so I'll have some time to read and I can commit to read at least 7 books for the challenge.
I could take the task #6 : From May’s R-a-T Mini Challenges
Just one question to mods - just noticed, have we lost a team member along the way?

As far as I am aware Skandia we can choose which one/s of challenges we want to do. I'll record your total of seven books. thanks
I know I'm not a mod, but I just checked and we still have 8 people in our team. Are you seeing one fewer people on our team?

I like to do books for categories 5 and 7 :)

If I understood correctly the rules, we can move the book and arrange them as it fits us. :)

Yes, you may, Dragana. It is like a giant puzzle. ☺

Excellent. Leonie wanted to know if you would be willing to do the spell it out with her as well?

Absolutely!

Absolutely!"
Thanks Maria Helena. I'll let her know. BTW I've sent you a PM.

Congratulations Maria Helena. I'm about to add 4 books to my read list. They're short ones quite deliberately.
Do you have a preference for which category I place this book in?

No, I figured I'd list both options and then you could place it wherever it is needed :)

OK. I've placed it with the spell-it-out option. With the spell-it-out it caan go on either the name of the book or the author can't it?

OK...."
Yes, Author first or last name, or first letter in title or series

So first off, sorry for being so MIA lately, it's just that school has decided to interfere terribly with my reading life. But thank goodness I only have one week left, and then I'm free! ;)
But I'm a bit confused as to what we're doing with this 7% challenge. Do we have a group spreadsheet to organize as to who is reading what for what category? I've sneaked around in to other group's threads (a little snooping can be beneficial.. ;)) and one of the things that I saw which I liked was that a captain reserved 7 posts, one for each group, and then edited the post, adding in who read what for each category (if that makes sense). But I do think we should have a nice way to organize this. =)

That one works for category 7 (being #7 in a series)

Great to see you back Aneeqah. I was getting very concerned that something had happened to you. I look forward to seeing lots of books that you've read. If you want to use books that you've read for your studies - only if they are a minimum of 160 pages long - for your tower team challenge books I don't see an issue with that. Just a thought.
Question: Do you want to nominate how many books you would like to aim for reading for the June-July challenge? If you do I shall add these to the spreadsheet I've set-up to add to our group tally.

I've added your books to the spreadsheet Maria Helena. I've used them for No. 6 and 7 as we didn't have any for those sections.

I've added your book to category 7 Cathy

Hi Aneeqah.
Below is a spreadsheet that I've set-up to keep track of books that people have read. have a look at it and by all means give me feedback on anything that you think would be good to include etc.

Hey Zara,
I'm aiming for 25 books for this challenge. =) Using my books from school is a great idea, actually, and I will look into that. The spreadsheet is looking awesome. Just one clarification: the team ahead of us is cadet blue, and the team behind is atomic orange, correct? And as always, thanks for all your work behind this. ;)

You are correct Aneeqah about the team ahead of us and the team behind. It goes on the Sunday update which means it can, and most likely will, change each week.
I'm glad you like the spreadsheet. I've been having some fun with it. I've added your estimated goal for the challenge to the spreadsheet.

Clarification: Cat#2 & #3 (Ahead and Behind)
For Categories #2 & #3 of the 7% Solution Challenge the Team ahead and behind does NOT change every week. It is determined by the last Sunday Updates in May and June.
Your colors remain Cadet Blue and Atomic Tangerine, respectively.
When July 1st comes, members may begin using additional colors, if you have any change in who is ahead or behind you on the last Sunday Update in June. You may continue using the old colors, too.

I believe so, but it may be a good idea to have members who focus on specific categories, actually.
ETA: I think it would be a better idea for us to take on categories that we would try to mainly cover, since that would also enable us to plan which books to read, which would be very helpful, I think.

I have also read (I'll add more info later if it's needed):

Below is a link to the TT June-July 7% Mini Challenges and games. The are a just a few games that need covering with the latest being a Mean Mauve which is like the 'Mean Green' one from the RaT. I know one of you loves doing these types of puzzles so please go ahead and do so.
I've done all the slider puzzle and jigsaw puzzle ones. The ones that are left to do are the doublets and word search (Leonie is happy to do this one), a scrabble type one I think. Please go and have a look and do as many as you possibly can. We can earn cupcakes which we can then use for our TT Challenges I think.
