no don't do it tmi movie debut was horrible turn them into tv shows that way you can get the full story line across

also i heard TMI is gonna become a TV show so shouldn't that mean that TDI will have to be in the show i mean Jem and Tessa....City of Heavenly Fire??

I actually heard that they are going to continue with TMI. for a while they weren't going to but I think they have finally decided to continue. Hopefully it isn't as bad as it the first one was!
Here's the thing: Mortal Instruments, while aesthetically pleasing, was horrible. I'll say it, and I love Jamie Campbell. And I studied film, so I do understand the restrictions and issues with adapting a book like "City of Bones" into a comprehensible 2 hour movie. But CoB wasn't comprehensible to me. Situations were needlessly changed. And the whole bibbity-bobbidy-boo technique Clary was using at the end to clean up her room in her apartment? I died. My friend quite literally had an aneurysm. My husband, who was interested in the book prior to seeing the movie, is now hesitant to pick it up.
But, last I heard, they were taking the Mortal Instruments story and making it a television series - which is still something I'm hesitant about, but I feel will better suit the stories because of the sheer amount of STUFF that goes on in each book. A movie per book just wouldn't cut it. That's how I feel they should handle Clockwork - a series. Not a movie.
I'm not sure my heart could stand the on-screen character murder of Jem Carstairs.
Can they not? It'll be a great disappointment if they recreate it in some ways and put some stupid scene that didn't even happen; not show the best part of the book.... We know how the Mortal Instruments turned out... And it's not that great...

I'm scared that if they made it into a movie, it'll ruin it for me. I love ShadowHunters, but the acting is really bad.
I'm scared, but I'm excited.Wasn't impressed with casting in movie. Not impressed with script for show. this better be made by people who actually love these books. if not, what's the point.
If they do it right, it will be fine. Cast the right people, cast a great writer who can actually read (the book), and a great director.

Honestly if they have the Mortal Intrusments all the little connections wouldn’t make any sense without the Infernal Devices.

I feel like I should be so excited! But I don't want it to happen! Especially since all the hype over the cast and everything happened years ago. The best movie adaptation in my eyes is Lord of The Rings, I can't stand to see on for The Infernal Devices not as good or like The Mortal Instruments adaptations!!

I just really hope they get this one right. The TMI movie sucked. A lot. I like TID way better than TMI so I really don't want Hollywood to do a shitty job like they did with TMI.
I'm just gonna say that the show sucks too. I don't know much about it though. I watched half of one episode and it was nothing like the books so I stopped watching. Is the series supposed to be different from the books, or is Hollywood just doing a shitty job on purpose?

I hope they only do this if they are going to do it right. Maybe they need the BBC to produce it as they seem to do an excellent job with Jane Austen adaptations - staying true to the storyline. Don’t even get me started on the Shadowhunter TV series....it strayed so far from the book I stopped watching. I hate it when movies/TV shows do this. Stick to the book or call it something else!!

itoo love the characters alot. I hated the way TMI was filmed, as it did not live up to my expectations.. I hope it wont happen with TID
