Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments No, they are fine, ❀Tea❀.

message 454: by Barb (new)

Barb I didn't realize this was sometimes shelved as a children's book till yesterday, so I'd better check before I read and shelve it for this game: The Rithmatist (Rithmatist #1) by Brandon Sanderson

message 455: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I can't find a page count, Barb, but the audio is about 10 hours, so it more than qualifies.

Maybe Countess Paige can find an exact number.

The Rithmatist (Rithmatist #1) by Brandon Sanderson

message 456: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments This book isn't listed on the website I use for checking page counts - I think it's too new. However, in looking at the previews of the book, there are more than 250 words per page so I agree with LK - it more than qualifies. Enjoy!

message 457: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3792 comments I'm sure this question has already been answered, but one of our team members read the book Ethan Frome. Her version was 176 pages, but the "most popular" book on goodreads is listed as 128 pages. Would this book still count?

message 458: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments Hmmm, that' a good question. I'll get back to you.

message 459: by md (new)

md | 83 comments I just want to check that Whisper (Riley Bloom #4) by Alyson Noel is eligible. I have it at 42,062 words = 168 pages (rounded down).

Did you find somewhere that has word count for malorie blackman?

message 460: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments md - Whisper would be accepted. Enjoy!

Can you post a link for Malorie Blackman - I'm not sure what you are looking for and I apologize if I overlooked something.

Jenn (engelsigh) | 1339 comments Any word on Weird Arizona: Your Travel Guide to Arizona's Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets I've been counting the words and I'm at 40,000 and still have almost half the book to go. How many words does it take to qualify?

message 463: by md (new)

md | 83 comments It was more of a general query. I finished Tell Me No Lies by Malorie Blackman but I can't seem to find a word count for a lot of hers so I just put it on my read shelf

Turtlecollector Dennis | 1164 comments I am having trouble finding a word count for this book for one of our team members.

All-of-a-Kind Family

message 465: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments All-of-a-Kind Family word count is 32006 words.

Please note that we are still ironing out details on how to count children's books so this book may be valid.

message 466: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments I was not able to find a word count for Tell Me No Lies.

In looking at the preview, it is really close to 250 words per page but I will allow it.

message 467: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments Sorry I missed you Jennifer - I assume Weird Arizona: Your Travel Guide to Arizona's Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets is like the other states. These books contain a lot of writing and very few pictures - I will allow it.

Turtlecollector Dennis | 1164 comments Yes, thank you. I wanted it posted here in case so I didn't forget about it.

message 469: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Sorry, ❀Oo❀. I still haven't found anything; probably because it is new. I'll have to turn it over to Countess Paige.

I cannot find a word count on this one. However, in looking at the audio version which is over 4 hours, it would appear that the book has just over 45,000 words. I'll accept it. approved

I can find very little infomration on this book and I do think it's too new to have reached my databases. I will PM Lisa Kay to discuss and we will get back to you.

Jane - you are correct. In factoring in the word count - 86,575 words acoording to Smashwords, this book would be approved.

message 480: by Jane (new)

Jane | 705 comments Thank you countessPaige.

would you or Lisa Kay be able to add a pagenumber to this edition ? Origins (Zombie Games, #1) by Kristen Middleton

or should I chose this edition Origins (Zombie Games, #1) by Kristen Middleton which has the right Asin but wrong cover and page number?

Jane | 705 comments Thank you Lisa Kay.

But I think the word count must be way off. As fast as I am getting through this book I only think it is about 190 pages as Amazon.com writes

message 483: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Really? Hmmm... We'll have to get Countess Paige back on it.

message 484: by Jane (last edited Jun 22, 2013 02:41PM) (new)

Jane | 705 comments well I just finished the book. It finished at 54% = 188 pages.

Then it says "Please enjoy this other story for free. Enchanted Secrets"
That might explain the discrepency in page numbers.

But as I do try to keep an eye on my pagecount I would like to know if you think the 190 pages are close to being right.

edit: if I read the book decription on Amazon I would have known it had the extra book.

message 485: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments You mean they didn't give you the whole book?

message 486: by Jane (new)

Jane | 705 comments It is the whole book as Amazon does say it is 190 pages and it says 188 when I finished the book. And it says "End of book one"

I just think they added an extra book. When I press the "go to" on my kindle the furthest I can go in pages is 188 which brings me to the end of Zombie Games. But in location I can go to 5730 in location and that takes me to the end of the extra book

message 487: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments Jane - What is the last sentence of the book. I am currently at Barnes and Noble and have it pulled up on my Nook.

message 488: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments You've lost me.

message 489: by Jane (new)

Jane | 705 comments The last sentences in the book are:
" oh yes," he said, a half- crazed look in his eyes. He lifted one of the guns back up and smiled humorlessly. "Let the games begin..."

message 490: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Countess Paige, are you always at Barnes and Nobel? I want to go to B&N!!!

message 491: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments I just wanted to make sure you had the whole book :)

I am going to make an executive decision on this one. Based on my nook setting of the smallest print I am getting about 115 words per page and it's showing 380 pages...or roughly 44000 words. There is no other book or preview in my version. I'll accept it and suggest we leave the page numbers alone.

message 492: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments Um, LK...yes? We have 2 B&N with 15 minutes of our home.

message 493: by Jane (new)

Jane | 705 comments Thank you CountessPaige.

44000 words, I will just leave it at 190 pages on my personal page count.

Sorry about all the trouble :-)

message 494: by CountessPaige (new)

CountessPaige de Quantity | 150 comments No trouble at all. I'm trying to be fair to everyone and will do my best to make sure everyone's books work. I ended up downloading it so I can't wait to hear what you thought about it.

The page count for this book according to Smashwords is 89,618 words (358 pages). I will not change Amazon data but the book is approved.

This was tricky but using some calculations, I can come up with approximately 70,000 words. This book is approved.
