Page Numbers, Just About Page Numbers...
I'm guessing Harry Potter books are fine? Or they also need checking?
I didn't realize this was sometimes shelved as a children's book till yesterday, so I'd better check before I read and shelve it for this game:
I can't find a page count, Barb, but the audio is about 10 hours, so it more than qualifies.Maybe Countess Paige can find an exact number.
This book isn't listed on the website I use for checking page counts - I think it's too new. However, in looking at the previews of the book, there are more than 250 words per page so I agree with LK - it more than qualifies. Enjoy!
I'm sure this question has already been answered, but one of our team members read the book Ethan Frome. Her version was 176 pages, but the "most popular" book on goodreads is listed as 128 pages. Would this book still count?

Any word on Weird Arizona: Your Travel Guide to Arizona's Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets I've been counting the words and I'm at 40,000 and still have almost half the book to go. How many words does it take to qualify?

All-of-a-Kind Family word count is 32006 words. Please note that we are still ironing out details on how to count children's books so this book may be valid.
I was not able to find a word count for Tell Me No Lies. In looking at the preview, it is really close to 250 words per page but I will allow it.

I'm just about finished with The Sense of an Ending. The kindle version is 177 pages. Hard copies range anywhere from 150 to 163. Would I be able to count this one?

I can find very little infomration on this book and I do think it's too new to have reached my databases. I will PM Lisa Kay to discuss and we will get back to you.
Based on my notes Ethan Frome and Juilliard or Else are the only books outstanding. If I have missed something, please let me know.

When I check wordcount on Smashwords, the pacecount becomes a lot higher.

Jane - you are correct. In factoring in the word count - 86,575 words acoording to Smashwords, this book would be approved.

well I just finished the book. It finished at 54% = 188 pages.Then it says "Please enjoy this other story for free. Enchanted Secrets"
That might explain the discrepency in page numbers.
But as I do try to keep an eye on my pagecount I would like to know if you think the 190 pages are close to being right.
edit: if I read the book decription on Amazon I would have known it had the extra book.
You mean they didn't give you the whole book?
It is the whole book as Amazon does say it is 190 pages and it says 188 when I finished the book. And it says "End of book one" I just think they added an extra book. When I press the "go to" on my kindle the furthest I can go in pages is 188 which brings me to the end of Zombie Games. But in location I can go to 5730 in location and that takes me to the end of the extra book
Jane - What is the last sentence of the book. I am currently at Barnes and Noble and have it pulled up on my Nook.
The last sentences in the book are:" oh yes," he said, a half- crazed look in his eyes. He lifted one of the guns back up and smiled humorlessly. "Let the games begin..."

I just wanted to make sure you had the whole book :)I am going to make an executive decision on this one. Based on my nook setting of the smallest print I am getting about 115 words per page and it's showing 380 pages...or roughly 44000 words. There is no other book or preview in my version. I'll accept it and suggest we leave the page numbers alone.
Um, LK...yes? We have 2 B&N with 15 minutes of our home.

by Karina Halle was just published. There are no page numbers on GR, but amazon puts it at 245 pages. Should I go with that?

This was tricky but using some calculations, I can come up with approximately 70,000 words. This book is approved.
