Hina (hinaj) | 884 comments Puzzle Update

It looks like we have completed all the puzzles for this month. :)

message 654: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ Yay. Now we just have to figure out how to redeem all those cupcakes before Round II is over.

message 655: by JoLene (new)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 705 comments You can mostly use the specialized ones for chunksters. The other ones can replace a book in a mod challenge.

message 656: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ I'm just glad you a have a handle on it all JoLene because I haven't a clue. I just do the puzzles hoping they will help us in the long run.

message 657: by JoLene (new)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 705 comments Yep, that's fine :-). As long as you like to do them.

Hina (hinaj) | 884 comments Do we have any challenges during November? Or are we scheduled to finish up the tower team challenge?

message 660: by JoLene (new)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 705 comments I dont think so --- one team is super close to finishing.

message 661: by Hina (new)

Hina (hinaj) | 884 comments I think you are right, redeeming all the cupcake and all the other things, they can probably win this week or the following week. Let's see what happens with the Sunday updates in two days time.

NBRC Book Ninja | 1025 comments This is the NBRC Book Ninja! Just when you thought you couldn't earn any more Book Advantage Points (BAPs), I appear!

You never know when I will pop up, or what I will ask for. These little mini tasks will be worth one or two (1 - 2) BAPs.

For the first task, I will grant your Team one (1) BAP for any Team where two members read books by the same author. They may be the same book, or not. They may be under different pseudonyms, too; it matters not to me!

You have until the 23rd of November to earn these points.

Until the next surprise.

Post finished task here.

message 663: by Hina (new)

Hina (hinaj) | 884 comments What's everyone currently reading..... as far as I can tell none of us have crossed the same author in the month of November. If you have a list, can you post it here, so we can see if anyone else is planning to read the same author.

Task #3 - Random Genre

I will randomly assigned the following twelve (12) genres to a corresponding number.
Contemporary Romance
Fantasy
Historical Fiction
Historical Romance
History
Horror
Mystery/Cozy
Mystery/Thriller
Non-Fiction
Urban Fantasy
Women's Fiction
Young Adult
Go to:
http://www.random.org/dice/
and roll one or two dice.

Come back to this thread and tell me the number you rolled and I'll tell you the genre a member (any member) of your Team needs to read this month.

I will reassign the genre before each Team request.

Yes, if a member has already read that genre, you may count it.

You may NOT use books used in other November tasks.

Any books 160 pages or greater, finished between November 1 - 23, 2013.

Classification will be by the top five most popular 'tags' - according to GRs members.

You will be granted one (1) BAP.

You have until the 23rd of November to earn this point. (Or the end of the TTRC, which looks like November 17th, according to the poll in the "sister" group.)

Until the next surprise.

Post finished task here.

jingles Puzzle #190 has been emailed.

message 698: by jingles (last edited Nov 11, 2013 10:25AM) (new)

jingles Okay, so one of us needs to read a book that is tagged as "history" before November 23? is this correct?

If so, I can do this task with All the President's Men.

All the President's Men by Carl Bernstein

At 480 pages, it might have counted as a chunkster, but then, I guess we are pretty much done with that.

message 699: by JoLene (new)

JoLene (trvl2mtns) | 705 comments @hina, you said we do history???? The book Njnja is supposed to tell us what we get from our roll so I thought you were the ninja
