This challenge will start March 15, 2013 and run through March 14, 2014

Using the letters A-Z read a book whose title begins with each letter of the alphabet. Only the first word of the title counts, and A, An and The DO NOT count.

If you have trouble finding titles beginning with Q, X and Z, you may use a title in which the letter appears.

Example:
A - Aunt Dimity's Death
B - Bedeviled Eggs 4/4/13
X - EXplosive Eighteen

The rules are as stated in the General Challenge Information topic.

Kme_17 | 8 comments I think I going to follow you Jaxnsmom and do all mysteries.

❂ Murder by Death (murderbydeath) I've done this once before and was able to complete it using only cozies, so you go Barb! :)

I'll give it a go - I had a blast doing it last time. :)

message 10: by Barb (new)

Barb | 725 comments I probably could do it with only cozies, but I read a lot of soft-boiled mysteries and thrillers too, and I want to be able to count them as well :)

Yes, you can post planned books. It'll be interesting to see if you can stick to the list, or if others lure you to them :) That's what happens to me, so I don't do lists now (but I have a spreadsheet with possibilities).

I find that easier too. I keep all my challenges organized in a word document, including possible book choices. Then I generally order several books from the library at once, often checking my list of "possibles" to decide on what to get.

I think of that series as cozies. No reason why it can't fit two genres.

I do too, but the language and frequent discussion of topics of a sexual nature are offensive to some, so I try to flag those books as I read them. Plus, I wasn't sure how strict this group is with the definition. :)

I think we go more by the feel of a book, which is very subjective. We all have ones that don't fit the strict definition, and there are some where we all agree to disagree :)
