Duffy Brown loves anything with a mystery. While others girls dreamed of dating Brad Pitt, Duffy longed to take Sherlock Holmes to the prom. She has two cats, Spooky and Dr. Watson, her license plate is Sherlok and she conjures up who-done-it stories of her very own for Berkley Prime Crime. Duffy’s national bestselling Consignment Shop Mystery series is set in Savannah and the Cycle Path Mysteries are set on Mackinac Island.

Auntie KiKi lives in a house that’s been in her husband’s family since before Sherman parked his unwelcome hide in Savannah. She teac... Read more of this blog post »

Tandem Demise by Duffy Brown
“How does this keep happening to you?” Fiona asked me. “Mackinac’s a little island but guess what, you come across yet another body!”
“Hold on a minute, stop right there. Forget the you part about the bodies. Okay, the first one was mine I’ll give you that, but the last one was definitely a we body.”

“I started to crawl off; then I remembered my leftover pizza, and I peeled off the salami, pepperoni, and anchovies and placed them on the CD tray (whicn no one used these days with flash drives around)on Boone's computer. I hit the close button and watched the smelly part of my delicious dinner slide away. Boone would have a great time wondering 'where's that smell coming from?”

“You’ve only been engaged three hours. How in the world does this keep happening to you? Normal people don’t have bodies popping up in their lives like this except for that Jessica Fletcher woman in Cabot Cove. I can’t understand why anyone in their right mind would want to be her friend. They all wind up dead, and now you’re getting to be the same way.”
