Awesome! What a great time to get baptized!
Awesome! What a great time to get baptized!
The trip will be made Tuesday and I will arrive on Wednesday and I would enjoy the prayers if you don't mind
So, last night, I had to teach a lesson to the kids at church relating to this weekend. We did a round of Minute to Win It. (The idea was, although it took Jesus 6 hours to die on the cross for us, it only takes a minute for you to believe it and accept His gift.) We had so much fun.
It is the most blest thing to ever happen for us! The day he rose from the day was the day we would be saved
Oh, and here are my "musical thoughts" about how awesome Easter is:

That's so cool!!! You have a blog!!!! And thanks for sharing that :)
Thanks, Abi, and you're welcome. That is my "old" blog. I had to abandon it because I received a lot of criticism. Someone disagreed with a scripture I used in the context I used it. Sometimes people can be a bummer. :(
The new one I use is on my author website, but THAT one is getting criticism too, because I *GASP* showed respect to the new pope's demonstration of humility. *sigh*

Everybody who tries to stand up for themselves or what they believe in gets shot down. And I thought we lived in a free country...
Free isn't exactly free. I have my opinion on something but so do they. How I present my opinion though is a different story than how they will present theirs. Most of the time we will attract the crowd that doesn't like us because they honestly think we hate them. When if they would take the time to get to know us and listen to us talk it isn't the person we hate but maybe the habit they are doing. For instance someone who drinks all the time and is a very mean drunk makes them hard to be around. But if that very same person doesn't drink they're the sweetest most caring in the person in the world which makes them easier to be around. It isn't the person that we tend to stray from it is the drinking. The drinking is what changed the person. Therefore me saying I won't hang with you while you drink is my own opinion than you have another person who goes to say oh so you hate him because he drinks I see how you are. Which is not the case. They are taking things out of context and forming their very own opinion as well. They have just as much right to do just that as we do. We do it all the time. When you see someone on the news shoot little kids at a school you immediately go to say they're a horrible person but in reality they might not be. There could be mental issues they are dealing with. No one ever really knows.

I know! It's really sad when it happens in the church too. Not a very good representation of who we are.

It's true Cody. We need to stop and think before we shout our opinions to the world. I really like to give people the benefit of the doubt before making a judgment about their character. And that was exactly why my critics got on my case about commending the pope. Sometimes, you just can't win.

You may not win but commenting back on what they say is letting them know they got to you. Then they'll go back for more. Making a nice polite reply will not only make you feel better but show them where yo stand. If you openly take their comment say something response nicely then let them say something back whether it be rude or not then you got a little off your chest but also got to hear more from them on maybe why they feel that way.
Good point. I chose to ignore it (a lot of others got on his case for me). But I probably would feel better to say something about agreeing to disagree.
You need to be a light unto the world. That is what Jesus wants us to be. Ignoring it is a good way to go about it but then again the people criticizing you may have earned those feelings over a long period of time, don't know how to express them, and are looking for someone to talk to.
My teacher always told me: You don't have to like everybody, but you do have to love them. I try to act on that... It's not easy, though. Sometimes, you really just want to smack somebody...
Abi that is true. So very true. Before I left my job yesterday I worked out in a gas station. I have to I.d. Everyone for cigarettes. I got cussed out a lot by people and I really wanted to reach out and grab them and just give them a good shack lol but after they left I would say a pray to God and that feeling went away.
Ha! Well, that's the world we live in. All we can do is our best though. We will try our best, we will fail, and God will love us anyway.
That is so very true T.C. And it's very comforting to know that no matter what God still loves us at the end of the day
Hey, guys. Not going to be on for a while, probably not until Saturday or Sunday. I'm going to be in Florida and the hotel's WiFi is anything but cheap, so...
How's everybody doing?
Anybody bothered by the Boston Marathon yesterday? I wrote a little about it.

I really enjoyed reading that. I read the first sentence and thought it said, "I usually don't run more than fifteen minutes at a time," and I was sitting there thinking, "Hey, me too!" when I realized you said miles.
He he, when I read what YOU just wrote, I had to read it twice to get it. And thanks for taking time to read it, Christi.

Wow. Be sure to let us know when the trip is, and we'll pray it goes well.
