In college, I used to make my roommate's bed all the time, and sometimes she wasn't always done sleeping!

Wow. Just wow.

Olive (olivejean) Okay. The Avery life of an American teenager is sponsoring the prevention of teen parents, while everyone on that show is pregnant. Oxymoron? Or are they for real?

message 156: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments They are for real most likely. The point of the show is for entertainment. They don't want teens going out and doing as the show.

message 157: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) Hmm. Seems fair enough. 15 yr old mom seems preventable.

message 158: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments In most cases yes. Sometimes you have that rebel

I totally can't keep up with you guys! Here are some more of my thoughts:
Greek yogurt - by itself, belch. In my smoothies, yum.
Ice Cream - THE BEST FOOD EVER CREATED!
Bacon - gooooood. Mmm. (Not in the ice cream).

message 160: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) Yeah. Poor rebel :(

message 161: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) Has anybody seen the cartoon Adventure Time?

message 162: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments It's on right now Livi

T.C. you won't try the new bacon flavored ice cream?

message 163: by Christi (new)

Christi (trumpetchick) | 309 comments Yep! Haven't seen it in a while, though.

message 164: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) Has anybody else attempted bacon pancakes?

Cody | 187 comments Nope. I haven't even attempted peanut butter pancakes :P

Backing up to the serious stuff we were talking about...Sorry to jump into this conversation so intermittently. But it was SO interesting, I couldn't keep my mouth shut. My thoughts, in case you want them.

Abortion. Wrong. On every account, even rape. God has a plan for that baby.

However, in all the stances we are taking (and I will address others too), thinking about the person in the situation before you blast them with righteousness. It could come across as "I'm better than you" if you aren't careful. If you know someone who has had an abortion - or is thinking about it - stop and put yourself in her shoes first. She is likely scared to death. She probably knows it is wrong but is trying to find a way to make it right. She needs someone who is still going to love her, despite her decision. When she has your love and friendship, she will be ready to listen to what you think about it.

message 169: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) I've had bacon pancakes before! There actually pretty good!

message 170: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments If it has bacon I try my best to stay away from. I just don't care for it

message 171: by Olive (new)

message 172: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments Instead of killing off the baby give it up for adoption. Donate the egg and let another woman carry it and give birth to the baby and let her adopt. There are other ways other than abortion. Instead of saying don't do that try approaching like this "Hey you mentioned abortion the other day because you couldn't take care of the child now. Why not give it up for adoption. There is a woman out there that can't have children and will want one."

message 173: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) That's totally true. I think I'm going to adopt a child first.

message 174: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments There are plenty out there that needs a family

T.C. Slonaker | 344 comments Mod
I SOOO agree. I used to cry at the very thought of people having an abortion when I was pregnant. Adoption all the way!

message 176: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments It makes me sick when people want an abortion.

Exactly. :)

message 178: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (oftheheavens) | 112 comments some people always tell me: I support abortion because it's an easy way to clean up society, and if you're raped, it's hard for families to understand... what I say? ADOPTION, PLEASE. or the Sisters of Life.

message 179: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments Clean up society? How are we cleaning up society? If someone is raped how is killing the baby cleaning the society up? Wouldn't throwing the rapist in jail be cleaning up society?

message 180: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 344 comments Mod
Whoa! Clean up society? That's harsh. We could clean up society by eliminate THAT person. OK. No. Not a loving response.

message 181: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) Exactly! People talk about surplus population when they talk about 'accidental ' babies. We should just be happy because we can have as many children as we wish! Would you really take away someone else live for the sake of resources and population?

message 182: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) Loving? No. Amusing? Extremely!

message 183: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments Livi ha ha

message 184: by Christi (new)

Christi (trumpetchick) | 309 comments Exactly. There is no such thing as an unwanted child when there are so many couples out there who wish they could conceive but they can't. It's so unfair for people to just go get abortions when there are plenty of couples who would love a child.

message 185: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments Exactly Christi

Abigail (oftheheavens) | 112 comments Cody wrote: "Clean up society? How are we cleaning up society? If someone is raped how is killing the baby cleaning the society up? Wouldn't throwing the rapist in jail be cleaning up society?"

exactly... I don't know how they can use those words... THE BABY IS INNOCENT... YOU DON'T NEED TO KILL HIM/HER.

message 187: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) Imagine the relationships with HIV and other stds that one spouse is not willing to endanger the other with. What is their choice? Adoption.

message 188: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (oftheheavens) | 112 comments Livi wrote: "Imagine the relationships with HIV and other stds that one spouse is not willing to endanger the other with. What is their choice? Adoption."

and if every little baby was aborted, there would be no adoption option... I DO NOT SUPPORT ABORTION UNDER ANY REASON...

message 189: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) I want to grow up, get an education and a job, fall in love, marry, and have children. If you an I were aborted, where would we be?

message 190: by Cody (new)

Cody | 187 comments In Heaven with God

message 191: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (oftheheavens) | 112 comments we'd be dead.... 41.6 BABIES DIE EACH YEAR FROM ABORTION... 41.6 MILLION!!!!

message 192: by Christi (new)

Christi (trumpetchick) | 309 comments When my mom was pregnant with my sister, who is six right now, they urged her to get an abortion because they thought she'd have Down's syndrome. Breaks my heart. She doesn't have any "defects" whatsoever, but even if she did have Down's, why the heck is that a valid reason to abort?

message 193: by Abigail (new)

it's not. There isn't a valid reason, and never will be.

message 194: by Olive (new)

Olive (olivejean) I could've had a while bunch of craziness from my genetics. Breast cancer, small cell carsenoma, lung disease, arthritis, you name it. I was born a healthy pink brown eyed baby. I defy society! My mother didn't abort me.

I think it would be difficult to raise a special needs child, but I do know God wouldn't give me that child without walking through it with me. That's why I'm afraid to pregnant now that I am closing in on age 40. But what scares me even more is having a child who has cancer and then dies when they are still young.
