I'm finishing up Talented. I'm surprised by how good it is! I got it for free on NetGalley, and now I guess I'm going to have to buy the next books because I have to know what's going to happen!!
half way through first harry potter book and I am really enjoying it. its fun like Percy. lol but since I've seen harry potter a long time ago, the first one, in read with the accents lol

If you like the first book you're gonna love the seres.
I just finished
and ended up liking it more than I would've thought, especially from the meh start. Not sure what to read next, but when I decide, I'll update. I think
is the front runner at the moment.
Any opinions on Beautiful Creatures, Mortal Instruments, and The Luxe? I'm not exactly sure what Luxe series is about but I have those three series on my shelf for when I finish Maze Runner. I'm just on book one but believe I will finish very quickly lol!
I've read the Beautiful Creatures and Mortal Instruments series, but not the Luxe series (though I have read the Lux series). I've also read the Maze Runner series. Neither BC or MI are like the Maze Runner, but of the two I'd definitely pick Mortal Instruments.
I got the whole BC set and half of MI from books a million on sale and I've had Luxe for a while but keep buying new ones instead of reading them lol. I'm still on Maze Runner. It took a little while for me to get into it but once it caught me, it's been hard to put it down lol.
I totally understand y harry potter is so awesome. I'm 50 pages in on the second book a d I love it so much. harry is super cool, so is Ron. yay, so glad I'm reading it
just finished harry potter and the chamber of secrets and I loved it. I totally see y harry potter is awesome and y everyone love the books. they r awesome. on to the next one :)
y'all I just finished harry potter book 3 and loved it. I am totally in love with this series!!! I can't put it down.
Alison wrote: "y'all I just finished harry potter book 3 and loved it. I am totally in love with this series!!! I can't put it down."So glad you're loving it. I was like that when I first read it, too. It was right when the final book came out and my gf had already read 4 of the books and I decided to race her to the finish. I read all 7 before she finished book 6 haha.
I've just finished Divergent series and The Giver series in approximately 2 weeks. Today I was thinking of starting The Circle but I read a lot of bad comments about it, and I didn't want to risk it with a ~500 page book. So Anthem will be my next stop and later I'm planning to go with A Clockwork Orange and Cloud Atlas
I finished
a few days ago. I didn't love it, but it was a solid read and I keep hearing the series gets better later.Just started
today.

Vicky wrote: "Cress from the Lunar Chronicles!!!"Such a good series - can't wait for the next book!!
I just finished In a Handful of Dust (very good!!) and I'm audiobooking (I just decided to make that a verb) Splintered.
just finished HP and the goblet of fire.. and OMG y'all!!! it was awesome. that ending was amazing!!!

Looking forward to the rest :)

I'll be finishing Death Cure tomorrow.I have the whole Beautiful Creatures series and some of Mortal Instruments. A few questions:
Are they too similar to read back to back? Do I need to read a different book/series between them? Which one is better?
BriAnna wrote: "I'll be finishing Death Cure tomorrow.I have the whole Beautiful Creatures series and some of Mortal Instruments. A few questions:

No, they're not too similar. Beautiful Creatures is more paranormal and TMI is more urban fantasy. Beautiful Creatures is definitely darker. I prefer TMI, but I don't know if I'd say one is better than the other.
I'll probably read BC first since I have all of them lol! I'm actually really excited to start TMI though because I loved the movie.
Finished
a few days ago and was surprised at how much I ended up liking it by the end.Probably starting
tomorrow.
just finished the order of the Phoenix and it was amazeballs prob the best book I've ever read!!!! I love HP!!!!!!!!!

Have you read the prequel. It was called the Kill Order, you should really read it.
I'll prob read the whole Beautiful Creatures series and then Kill Order then I'll start Mortal Instruments. That's the plan so far lol
Alison wrote: "just finished harry potter! best series ever!! I am blown away right now"I felt the same when I finished it(and still do). The way seemingly little things came back and tied up all the way back to book one was amazing.
Ok Alison, all your excited comments have convinced me that I finally need to read Harry Potter. As if I didn't have enough books on my to read list! :)
Jessica wrote: "Ok Alison, all your excited comments have convinced me that I finally need to read Harry Potter. Even if you don't fall in love with the first or second books, the series gets so much better after that.
I think Harry Potter and Percy Jackson (plus its spin off) are two YA series that most everyone HAS to read.
