Ashes is a dystopian series with people turned into flesh eating zombie kind of things, there are some pretty gory moments that made me feel a little bit sick ha
@Amelia, Generation Dead is the only zombie series that I read/reading. It has some bloody happenings D:! If u like that kinda stuff. But it's more about "the acceptance of zombies in the US" than like killing, but there a bunch of that too. One negative side could be the stupid love triangle at the beginning but that goes away quickly.
I'm not a fan of zombies, but this book is pretty good. Maybe u can check it out?
I really liked Ashes, I wasn't the biggest fan of Shadows though which is the second book in the series, it was good but not as good as Ashes
I'm currently reading Neuromancer. It takes about two or more reads before you notice the dystopian elements. Its quite a bit more subtle than 1984. It highlights secret police and policd corruption fairly nicely. Which is actually kind of contemporary in a way.
Just started House of the Scorpion. Clones, drug wars, zombies, blood sucking creatures, and more! It's still early, but it definitely is interesting. Has anyone read this?

He visited my school and yeah I did! It was cool since after he talked to all of us I went down to meet him and we had a whole conversation and stuff. He was super nice and fist-bumped me :P
Haha- it was SO epic!! And yeah, a few years before I went to my school Christopher paolini (the author of Eragon) came!
