Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments This is the discussion thread for the Fever series. The books in this series are as follows

Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning

Just a FYI if you have not yet read this series I highly suggest you get them all at once the cliff hangers are a doosey.

Brianna | 76 comments This was a great series. I flew through them one after another, and am glad I waited until they were all out. Those had to be the worst endings ever.

I want to see what happens next, so I seriously need to read Iced.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I am going to read Shadowfever this month...actually I may reread the whole series because it has been such a long time. If memory serves the details make up the important parts.

Cathy (cat584) | 2 comments I love the fever series. They are extremely good. I too would recommend getting them all because once you start reading you don't want to stop. So reserve some uninterrupted time so you can truly enjoy. Also The Iced book about Dani O'Malley should be read after the prior Fever books. It is really a continuation of the series from a different person's perspective.Fabulous reads, all of them.

Karena (karenafagan) OMG That was a great series. I agree too about reading them in a row. You devour them. I wasn't as thrilled with Iced, though.

Lauren (laurenjberman) While I enjoyed the story in the Fever series, Mac ruined it for me. Her frivolousness got on my last nerve and I just wanted to smack her - all the time!
If it wasn't for Barrons and Phil Gigante's amazing voice I would have given up on the series.

Thankfully, I liked Dani's character so I'm looking forward to Iced.

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 51 comments I never know how I feel about this series. On the one hand they're compulsively readable, you really can't put them down once you start. I loved the world building and even Mac grew on me after the first book or two. But....

I realize that I'm all alone on this island - I don't love Barrons. Let me clarify, I think he's a fascinating character and a horrible romantic interest. I think he's just too old skool, controlling, "I'll tell you what I think you need to know", alpha-hole for the likes of me.

I liked Dani so I was looking forward to Iced. Then I read some reviews and (view spoiler) so now I'm not sure if I really want to tackle it.

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 153 comments I just finished Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning last month and I can't wait to finish this series! The ending was so nuts, such a cliffhanger!

I agree I don't care for Barrons that much, I like the sex by death fae a lot better. He at least talked in the last book, I felt like Barrons was barely there in Faefever. And when he was, he was a jerk.

message 12: by Heather (new)

Heather Mannella This was the best series ever written! I loved everything about it! Whoever says they do not like Barron's definitely has issues in their lives and I feel sorry for them! You have to read this series more than once to really appreciate it because there is so much important information that s missed the first time through! I definitely agree that you need to read them all at once! I had to suffer through waiting for each and every book to come out and it was torture!

Lisarenee | 2046 comments I believe Sonia said in another thread the series is going to be extended (we're not talking via Dani's series) to 10 books. I thought it was finished. Found the following on GR in the info section of the untitled book 9 of the Fever Series:

"Exciting news: I’ve agreed to write two more books after that (i.e. the Fever spin-off trilogy). Once the new trilogy is complete, I’m returning to the core story begun in the FEVER series, and will resume writing about Mac, Barrons, V’lane, Cruce, the Unseelie king, the concubine, the Song of Making.

All in all, there are five more books coming about the Fever World!

Because I know you guys, I know this is going to make some of you as nervous as it makes you excited. Trust me. I’m making no compromises with the characters or the story. It’s all unfolding exactly as it should, true to itself-which means, it’s a sometimes rocky road. Dark times ahead, guys. But I write it all with genuine love for the characters, the world, and you the reader."
Karen Marie Moning

Looks like maybe 2015 is the projected release year.
