I watched Susan Cain's TEDTalk about it the other day and it blew my mind. As an introvert, I am finding it to explain so much about how I felt (and to be honest, still feel) about how introverted people are treated.

Very much so. And "why do you never have any friends over?" I joke that I had to get married because otherwise I would be a complete hermit. Thank the gods for the internet though. It helps me communicate in a way I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.
Not only the way we were treated as children, but look how job interviews usually go "we're looking for an outgoing, excited person for this position!"
Anyway, from one introvert to another, so far, I recommend this book. :)

I am currently reading Tess of the D'Urbervilles and a memoir called Happens Every Day.

I didn't realize there was a TED talk, I'll have to check that out. I found the book fascinating and insightful.

It's a long book, but keep at it, it's worth it!

Same here Jessica. Just finished Fahrenheit and started Slaughterhouse 5, but I only have a paper copy so I have been reading it on my lunch time at work when I can. I keep it in my lunch box.

I don't think i should have read these back to back. While, both are fabulous works in literature, I am on the road to depression, lol. Man, I know how to pick em.
"So it goes...."

Reading a sample of Swan Song while waiting for a copy from the library.

Swan Song is very good

I enjoyed Inferno. It's not a masterpiece but was quite enjoyable.

I love Persuasion! It is one of my favorite books from Jane Austen.

And till now what do you think? I read it some years ago, but it wasn't like I expected. Little action and so much bla,bla..."
...I've currently paused Moby-Dick. Too slow, tedious and full of run-on sentences. I hate that.
