Leslie, I have also had success using the ISBN to get the book to come up. Search is surely being nasty this holiday. I have had a lot of trouble myself in posting book links.

in reference to your post, the need for including the link to the GR book is not to prove that a book exists. We have to moderate the tasks based on GR descriptions, genres, etc. With the vast number of posts we have to deal with, it is not feasible for us to research everyone's books, then do the GR search ourselves to find out what genres are listed.

It really isn't a question of posting an external link to prove it exists - we need the GR link to look at the listed genres.

Sometimes the link doesn't come up first try, but Karen and Bea have given you two good ways to get the link.

I have a question. I went to post for task 30.2 and I read James Patterson's The Angel Experiment Maximum Ride #1 but for some reason it won't let me link to that book in the post. I tried doing it from the author point of view but it still wouldn't pull it up. How should Ipost for this task? I'm still kinda new to these tasks so I don't know all the tricks yet. Any help would be awesome! Thanks.

Just so you're all aware, there is a bug in the GR search right now. I'm having to use ISBN numbers to find links for certain books that came up fine by title two days ago. The problem has been reported, so hopefully they'll fix it after the holiday.

Task 25.5 requires a black or white silhouette on the cover. Unless I'm missing some other silhouette on the cover, I assume you're using the tree silhouettes, which are gray. I was at a library today, so I looked at the actual book, to make sure this wasn't a computer thing.

If there's some other silhouette on the cover that I'm missing, please point it out.

OK. In the future, if you post a book that does not meet the requirements of the task, please indicate in that post that it was approved in the HT. This book was not listed in post 2 as an approved book, and the moderators really can't go through all of the posts in the HT on the off chance that a book that doesn't fit the task requirements was pre-approved. We go with whether it fits the task when it is posted, or if it's listed in post 2 of the HT, unless you specifically tell us that it was pre-approved.

rats, when I was doing my planning -- it did have the middle grade tag, but I guess it got pushed off the main page during the course of the challenge
