For task 5.4, the actual word in the title must be a noun and a verb - it is not sufficient that an appropriate word be contained within another word. "Fixer" doesn't work here.

Task 5.5 requires that the book have "YA" listed as a genre on the book's main page. Freddy Goes to Florida doesn't have YA listed, so will not work for this task.
Task 10.7 requires that you identify the category of your book in your post.

not as far as I can see. It's not on the spreadsheet. You can double check your postings by hovering over your name in the gray bar - a box will come up saying "comment history." Click on that and you'll get all your comments, which would include your postings. I did a quick scan and didn't see 20.4, but if you think you posted it, you may want to double check.

I'm going to need a cover for your book for 25.7, The Monks and Me: How 40 Days in Thich Nhat Hanh's French Monastery Guided Me Home. It appears that there is no cover on GR, so you may want to ask a librarian to add a cover to the GR listing for the book.

I assume that your task between 5.7 and 20.9 is for task 10.10, since you provided info on the book's rating and your average rating. No need to repost unless I'm off base here.

wow, this is weird. The cover didn't show up on my usual computer, nor did it show up on my work computer. But, I just checked another computer (yeah, we have a lot of computers around here!) and it DID show up. So, I don't know why this is, but I'm sorry to create a problem for you. The points will show up in the next update.

not a problem, it just confused my almost 55 year old brain (5 days before the big b-day) and had me convinced that i was having hallucinations. :)

You had 2 big books up to post 1354, but 3 big book tickets. The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration has 640 pages = 1 ticket. The Invisible Bridge has 758 pages = 2 tickets for a total of 3 BB tickets.

Thanks Kristi! - I feel like I hit the Jackpot! I missed that Big book feature & I'll be sure to remember it for future big books record keeping. I'll post an edit to reflect the book size variable on the tasks I posted yesterday.

Unfortunately, letters from the series name cannot be used to satisfy the task requirements, only from the title and subtitle, so Grayson Manor Haunting will not work for 25.1, option 2.

Your total is off by 5 points - your April 18 post had an addition error. Your total is 355.
Your total is off by 5 points - your April 18 post had an addition error. Your total is 355.

If you would like to get Goodread Author (GRA) or Big Book (BB) tickets for the chance at designing a task for the challenge, you must specifically mention that the book is written by a Goodreads author or is a Big Book. The summary of the number of authors or big books at the bottom is not sufficient. For BB tickets, you have to specifically mention that the book is a big book and and link to the exact edition you read.
Here's a good example (Thanks, Wanda!):
Task 5.9-Roll With It
I rolled the number 6 making my choice from 2007
World Without End by Ken Follett -- This book was published in 2007.
Ken Follett is a Goodreads Author
This book is a Big Book- 1000 pages +
Points this post: 5
Total points: 5
Goodreads Authors: 1
Big Books: 500+ (0); 750+ (0); 1000+ (1)
To claim GRA or BBs that you have forgotten to mention in prior posts, please make a new post in the Completed Task thread (we do not go back and pick up edited posts) explaining that you forgot to mention a Goodreads author or that a book was a Big Book. Include the number of the original post, the task number the book was read for, and link to the book and author. For Big Books, be careful and make sure you are linking to the exact edition that you read unless it was an ebook, an audiobook, or a large print book, in which case, you should link to the mass market paperback. BB tickets for ebooks, audiobooks, and large print books will be awarded based on the number of pages in the MMP.
ETA (edited to add) -- Your post 1709 looks good as far as announcing GRA and BB. You just might want to split out the type of BBs in your summary since you get a different number of tickets for them.

The Hit is listed on GR. You just have to scroll down a bit - it's not the first book that comes up, but it does come up pretty quickly. You don't need to repost this, since I found it already, but in the future, you need to be sure to include a link - and if the book is not in GR, you need to either add it yourself or ask a librarian to do so.

task 5.3 - To get credit for a cover task, the appropriate cover must appear on GR. Your best bet would be to ask a librarian to add this edition with this cover.
