This is a lot of fun! There are these long bouts of boring text,and then all of a sudden, I'll realize that I'm in the middle of a really great conversations (like with the Higgins) or something really funny will happen. It sort of sneaks up on you. Plus, it's refreshing to read something in which there isn't constant action...you don't expect it, so it's easy to just relax and savor it. Her description is wonderful!

yeah this book isn't a pure romance set in high circles, you get to see all kinds of difficult subjects and they are discussed to see both sides. she will get into a discussion with Thornton later on, you'll see :D kinda long but it's OK :D
End of chap 5 , is everything supposed to be done by her , mother falls ill , father is drowning in self pity and sadness ...

Oh yeah... Around chapters 15-16 you ladies can watch first TV series. Just to get the real feeling for the characters, of course.

Nikako ne uspjevam shvatiti kako je Fanny postala tako razmazena. John je imao 16 godina kad je morao poceti raditi. Godinama nisu imali nista i dugo je trebalo da stignu gdje su sad. Fanny je otprilike stara kao Margaret, dakle imala je oko 5 godina kad je otac umro. A sad se ponasa kao da je oduvijek zivjela na visokoj nozi i 'nije joj jasno kako Margaret moze zivjeti kako sad zivi'.
