Ash wanted to ask her about it, if she felt it too, but thought she would deny if she did because of her plans to marry Nix. Ash's werewolf senses kicked in and he could hear her soft breathing from the dining area.

Finally Ali couldn't take it and walked over to the living room again," ash." She said softly just going to ask the question she had in a general sort of way and try not to give in to what she was really feeling
Ash was somehow startled when she said his name even though he had been listening to her. "Uh, yeah?" he said after looking up at her from his spot on the couch. Ash could smell her and he swore it was the most intoxicating thing ever. Why had he never felt like that with Diana?
Alissa rested her arms on a chair in the living room standing behind it like she could use it to shield herself from feeling what she did for Ash. "Do you know the myth about how werewolves used to just know when they found their mate?" She asked softly
Ash nodded, forcing himself to relax and put his casual smile on his face. "Yeah, I've heard of it? Why do you ask?" he said, raising a brow at her. Ash wondered why she was asking about it.
Ali shrugged a little bit looking at the wall behind him so it looked like she was looking at him but really wasn't," I was just wondering if you think it could be true or not?"She asked while she struggled not to fling herself into his arms
Ash shrugged, pretending indifference yet his actions said otherwise. He stood up and walked over to her, taking her wrists in his hands. Being this close to her, felt like touching Heaven. "I didn't before but now I'm pretty sure I'm wrong." he answered then tenderly kissed her on the lips.
Alissa watched him carefully not because she was being wired but because of her being a wolf. As gasped softly as he grabbed her about the wrists," Ohh."She answered thinking he was wrong about it being true and she was only in imagining things. She sighed softly against his mouth as she gently kissed him back with a smile
Ash hoped their kiss never ended. He deepened the kiss ever so slightly and pulled her closer to him. Only for an infinitesimal moment did he think about the fact he was kissing his friends fiancée but only for a second.
Alissa arms wrapped around his neck as she kissed him back softly not even really thinking about Nix even as she slipped her fingers into his soft hair. She let him move her closer to him
Ash held her close, knowing that she had to be the only one for him. He kissed her slow and sweetly, wrapping his arms around her waist. He didn't hear it when Nix came into the apartment. When Nix walked in, he hasn't expected to see his fiancée and friend kissing, but they were. Growling, he stormed over and grabbed Ash by the collar of his shirt and ripping him away from her. "What the hell are you going?" he snarled.
Alissa smiled a little bit against his lips as she continued to kiss him not hearing Nix or seeing him until he was yelling and pulling Ash away from her only then did had realize what she had done and she felt awful even though she didn't want Ash to stop kissing her everArielle walked into the room," what's going on?"
She asked walking over to Nix and gently taking his hand off Ash's collar even though she had to stand on her toes to get that high
Nix let his hands drop from Ash when Ali prompted him. Hurt and anger reflected in his eyes when he looked at Ari. "Why? Just tell me why." Nix said, shoving his still fisted hands into his pockets to restrain himself. Ash was knocked out of breath from when Nix had slammed him against the wall.
Ari carefully stood slightly in front of Nix as she looked at her sister," Liss?" She said softly. Alissa shook her head," I don't... I don't know..." She whispered." I wasn't thinking." Ari frowned slightly watching her sister," does this have something to do with what you were asking me earlier?" She asked looking at Alissa.
Ali nodded slightly," I think so." She replied softly not looking at Ash or Nix just at her sister
Nix threw up his hands seeing as no one seemed to want to explain to him. He stormed out of the apartment without a word and got into the bed of his truck. Why did she do that?
Ali and Ari both watched as Nix left the apartment and Ali sunk into the chair and put her hands in her face trying not to cry." I can't believe I let that happen." She said softly looking between her fingers at Ari. Ari looked at Ash," What were you thinking?" She asked softly knowing Ali wouldn't be the one to talk right now because of the look on her face
((Hey. Look at my status. It explains something.)) Ash ran a hand across his face. "I started feeling for her and she asked if I believed in the myth about true mates. Then I kissed her." he said, closing his eyes and he sat back down on the couch.
((Okay I will)) Arielle looked at Ash and frowned," Why didn't you just say that to Nix?" She asked. "I mean he would have understood I think." She said hugging her sister gently as she had started to cry.
Ash gave Arielle a look. "Yeah. Sure. We kissed because I started feeling for his fiancée. I would totally understand if that happened to me." Ash shook his head and speared his fingers through his hair in agitation.
Arielle frowned," Fine ill talk to him." She answered getting up," you might want to talk before he comes back in here if he even is still around."She answered
Nix sat outside on the tailgate of his truck with his head in his hands. Ali had kissed someone else. He had been feeling pulled to Ari every time he saw her but did he pursue it? No. Putting that ring on Ali's fingers meant he promised to marry her and vice versa.
Arielle walked out of the apartment and went to see where Nix had gone. She frowned seeing him laying in the back of his truck." Phoenix?"She called softly walking around to the bed of his truck
"Yes, Ari?" Phoenix answered. He was lying in the bed on top of a blanket he kept in the truck just for that purpose. He laid in it every now and then. "Can I help you?" Phoenix asked.
"How did you know it was me?" She asked confused. "Ali and I sound almost exactly alike even our parents can't tell us apart. " she said softly but walked around closer to him. " I don't need anything.... I just wanted to make sure you were alright."
Nix shrugged and shook his head. "I'm a wolf. You two wear different lotions and perfumes. Plus you have different gaits. You walk a little slower than her." Nix said and sat up to look directly at her. He sighed softly. "How do you think I am, Ari?"
Arielle laughed a little bit," okay so you got me there." She replied softly and then sighed a little bit," well not very good if the look in your face says anything at all."
Nix nodded. "Got that right. How would you feel if your fiancé decided to kiss you old friend?" he said, quirking his brow and shaking his head. Ali's betrayal made him want to give into his feelings for Ari.
Arielle shrugged," well probably not much different than what you are feeding now." She answered looking at him. "I mean Ali is pretty upset... But you guys haven't fought or anything since I've been here have you."
"Then why would she do this? I would know if it was just some kind of joke or something." Nix told her, running a hand through his hair. "If she loved me why would she do that?"
Arielle shrugged a little bit," I don't know Nix... I can't read my sisters mind."She said softly," but if you think this is something she was asking about that weird myth about true mates."
Nix frowned. "True mates? The hell is that?" he asked, his brow furrowing as he looked at her. Nix laid back in his truck again, staring up at the sky.
"There's a myth in our pack about how we used to find our spouses... It's weird and I don't know if there's some truth to all of it or not but dad said that we would just know because it would be like a spark in our minds or something like that." Arielle answered softly looking away," Most of the time if you find that person you can't exactly control what you feel for them."
Nix paused and looked at her weird. That's was exactly what it was like for him around Ari but he had just pushed it away as something silly. That's what Ari thought had happened between Ali and Ash?
Arielle looked at him," don't look at me like that... I'm not making an excuse for my big sister I'm just telling you what she was asking about and what her dad told us all the time about how he just knew my mom was the...." Ari stopped talking," I'm going to stop talking about that."
"The one, I get it." Nix finished then ran a hand through his hair. "Did she mention to whom she felt like that?" Nix asked her, his dark blue eyes peering at her curiously.
Arielle shook her head," no bit it was after Ash came over to your apartment when I first got here." She replied after a moment of thought
Nix's face hardened then smoothed out a little. He still had no positive evidence that Ali was in love with Ash and going behind his back it hurt to think about it.
Ari looked at him," Nix?" She asked softly and sighed a little bit trying not to push him too much. She didn't know what else to do to help him and she really didn't know what to say to him at all
"Yes, Ari?" Nix replied with a sigh. He cocked a lazy brow at her. Nix ran a hand through his hair then stared at the spot where his marriage tattoo with Ali was supposed to go.
Arielle looked at him for a little while before she said anything. She sighed softly. "Never mind." She said softly shaking her head a little bit," it's nothing."
Nix shrugged and rested his hands on his stomach, staring up at the sky. He watched as clouds strolled by as he tried to stop thinking about his problems for a little while.
Arielle sighed and turned away from him," I guess I'll just leave you alone then." She said softly and went to walk back inside. She didn't understand why she had to come outside and talk to him. He wasn't even anything to her but her to be brother. She shook her head trying to get rid of the pull to him that she was feeling so strongly towards him
Nix closed his eyes as she left and he listened to the crunch of gravel beneath her feet as she walked out of the crappy driveway. Nix tossed a arm over his eyes and took a deep breath. He wanted to chase her and tell her to come back but he didn't.
Arielle sighed softly and looked over at his truck one last time before going back into the apartment shaking her head at the dumb thoughts going through her head a little bit. She sighed softly at the thought that she wanted him to stop her
Phoenix laid in the truck for a little while longer then hopped out of the bed and put up the tailgate. He went inside and sat on the couch, his eyes a lighter blue as the silver of his wolf eyes seeped through.
Arielle sighed softly and looked at her older sister and then at Ash and then went into the kitchen to get away from everything. What she wanted to do was go for a long run
