Doughnuts and Donuts

The first Friday in June is National Donut Day. This tradition was started during World War I when a military doctor impulsively gave several dozen doughnuts out to injured soldiers. This progressed into a fundraiser, then into a regular supply of doughnuts, given out by volunteers who became known as Doughnut Dollies.

Rules - Spell it out
Choose one or more doughnut related words from the list under the spoilers below or any other doughnut related word you know.
Then for each letter in the word, read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last name), characters (first or last name), that begin with letters that correspond to letters of the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc).
