Love your pic of the coffee cat.
AmyK, sorry you have been so under the weather. Glad you are feeling better. Keep taking good care of yourself, dear one. ; )

I feel like that today. These trips back and forth to the U of M Hospital are wearing me out! By mid-day it feels like nappy-time! But, only 2 more to go! Yay!
Amy has never been a morning person. :) She likes to wake up s-l-o-w-l-y. No talking to her until after coffee. She IS the coffee cat.
Alright, read through all the posts. Phew! Amy and Roz, feel better soon.
Almeta, love all the pics. Poor no-coffee cat!
I have been trying to read here and there but been really busy with my department organizing a national level conference that's in 3 days and it's my sister's engagement tomorrow. Talk about crazy.
Having just got back from Italy, I can confirm that they have the strongest coffee imaginable. It might come in little tiny cups but, gah! it's rocket fuel. I imagine it'll take a few days for the effects to wear off. in the meantime I've been awake long past my bed time & reading.
Wahahahahahaha! That is superb!!! Itmade me snort with laughter and I nearly choked on my hot chocolate!
A question about the spine poetry. I read 8 or 9 books to get up to the 200 pages. Should I just pick one out of that set, or are they all fair game?

You guys are cracking me up with all the fun pics. That bug-eyed caffeine-dosed cat just killed me.HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Yup - just a bit. 2 days travelling, 1 day of working. I feel a little less wild eyed this morning. But yes, at times I did feel a little wired. Even resorted to ordering decaf!
AmyK wrote: "Hopefully you don't look like this caffeine cat Helen "
Amy, this is the funniest cat! I think I have taught students this wired. lol

Connie did you get the freebie Valentine audio yet?
So on Valentine's day I find myself sans Valentine. I've worked out that in 6 days we'll have seen each other for 12 hours - and I was asleep for 7 of them. Ho hum. That'll be a bowl of chilli in front of the fire & a good book for this evening's entertainment then.
Hope your day has been as pink and fluffy as you would like it to be.

Did you just take one? I took three.
I took three as well. Romeo and Juliet, P&P, and a non fiction about love. I just meant I got the section for the freebie. I would have totally missed it if you had not pointed it out to me. Thank you so much!I am really excited about Shakespeare and Austen! XXXXX

She doesn't change the TV, she charges it, like a bull!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, coffee! That looks SO good.My plans for today didn't work out as well as I had intended - I've only just woken up at 11am :-O
I can't find where the question came up about extra points for longer books. Didn't get around to answering last night because I fell asleep in my chair. Moot point now, but it was too late into the Toppler to change that. I will include points in next Toppler.

JMom can we use other supernatural beings like demons (for example) for "Love at First Bite Read a book where a human and a vampire, werewolf, shape shifter, zombie, ghost, alien, or time traveler fall in love, or lust that turns into love?"
I'm at Almeta's place and am staying the night so we can get some reading done together... and *ahem* some tippling along with our toppling. We just added some of her Kahlua Mudslide to our iced coffees like we did last week. YUM!
I slept in this morning, so I am planning to stay awake as long as possible tonight and read. I am having gimlets. (Hubby is in charge of mixing drinks and dinner tonight.) So this is a reading night. Wonder what he is preparing for dinner?

I'll check it out, Shirley! Loving ole Thomas Hardy! : ) Thanks for keeping me on my toes!Audio is new for me, Shirley. I have just started in the past month.
I did it! I read the whole thing AGAIN. I started last night and spent the whole beatutiful Oregon sunshine day re-reading I Heard That Song Before so I could count it for the toppler! Now to post it and my spine poem that I needed it for.
I am also working on some lines for a song, but don't have it all worked out yet.
I have another book, but do not know if I will stay up all night to read it. I found a great poem in a book of poetry that I have been reading. If I work out my song lines, I may post it. It seems appropriate to how I have felt about the toppeler. Happy reading all!
Thanks, Jaxnsmom. My song is posted. I probably embarrassed myself. :) I am going to bed and start reading From Baghdad to America: Life Lessons from a Dog Named Lava until I fall asleep. Oh, my poem I found. I think it says it all...
A Parting Guest
What delightful hosts are they--
Life and Love!
Lingeringly I turn away,
This late hour, yet glad enough
They have not withheld from me
Their high hospitality.
So, with face lit with delight
And all gratitude, I stay
Yet to press their hands and say,
"Thanks, --So fine a time! Good night."
