It's remarkable for today honestly. There is crazy drama going on with my next door neighbor and her family and I have had a house full of kids all day.
Goodnight to our sleepy Toppler participants. It sounds like everyone is doing great!I'm 3/4 of the way through my book and should finish it tonight.
WOW! Amy, that is great with a bunch of kids in the house. I remember those days. My house was always the one where all the kids ended up...always tons of kids, and I only have one child. lolBut I wouldn't have had it any other way and too soon the kids are grown up.
Oh, Jmom, how did you know? I have a terrible cold and I can actually do all those things as we speak!! So that's what multi tasking is. Who knew?
ROFL!Debra, I love your sweet song about Lucy. So very special! : )
I am taking my book to bed with me. I'll see you tomorrow.
Sometimes I have trouble NOT doing some of those things at the same time :)Roz - Sorry about your cold. Good time for some hot toddies! How is your weather?
My cold sucks, turns out we had almost 2 feet of snow last night, and I think I drank too much tea (multi tasking). I'm exhausted so I'm going to sleep. Hot toddies tomorrow for sure.
Off to bed now with my book,
. I think it will fit a task, but I need to read it for a buddy read anyway.
Well it seems you have all been very busy a'toppling while I've been tucked up in bed! Plenty of books bekng read and wine eing drunk :-DWelcome to the Words of Love team Joe!! Just start using the reporting thread and I'll add tbe link to your main reporting message once I get on a computer :-D
Ah another reader in my time zone, welcome back Sam! I hope you're nicely rested and ready for some more reading :)
I'm awake too, ready for a day of reading whilst I watch the snow melting! I can't wait for a summer Toppler to read outside.
Lynn wrote: "I'm with Rusalka, not a huge fan of summer and heat."I'm not normally either, but I am SO sick of the cold and the snow and the ice and blah! But at least the sun is shining today :-D
Oh don't get me wrong, I hate winter too. Give me a nice spring/autumn day of 23ish degrees and I'm a very happy girl. The last couple of days at 36 have just been a bit much so I think your frozen brain has forgotten slightly. Then again, grass is always greener!
Almeta and I are back from a short winter's nap. Going to be having steak and eggs for breakfast in a while. My first book A Walk to Remember was so sweet I now have several cavities. I'm now reading about an amazing cat called Norton, The Cat Who Went to Paris, and am almost finished.
Almeta is almost finished with Breed.
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments about Lucy's lil song. I've not written anything like that since High School!
That old geezer is a scary looking bugger. But, so true! If I sneeze or laugh too hard... well, you know!
Hope everyone is having fun!
Lynn wrote: "Ah another reader in my time zone, welcome back Sam! I hope you're nicely rested and ready for some more reading :)"Oh yes, and survived my volunteering this morning despite the rather wet weather!!! Now got yet more rugby on and catching up with my reading :-)
Our filet mignon was marvelous. Yum, yum! With grilled onions, mushrooms, and scrambled eggs. Aren't you jealous?
I've finished book 2, Keep Me Close, for which I now need to compose a verse. Don't expect anything impressive, I'm about as creative as a dead duck.
Never read Clare Francis, and I have no idea why! Which one of the three slightly shifty men in her life caused her accident was something I kept guessing at to the very end.
Better put dinner on soon, then I can start book 3 before hubby gets home & dinner is served.

Everyone is so ambitious this morning. I am impressed, but not enough to cook breakfast. lol I had toast. haha Just catch it as it pops out of the toaster and run back to my books. lol
Maybe I'll be a good girl and throw something in the oven for dinner. You have all made me feel guilty.
Or go for the low input meal - I have a casserole that will next need attention in 2.5 hours time. I intend to spend the intervening time with my nose in a book.
My husband is great about cooking. I'll just give him directions and let him take care of it. Since he had a great golf game yesterday, he should be willing to help out for my book club. lol
Good morning everyone. Jingo tried to wake me up earlier. I got up, fed he and Callie, and snuck back to bed for a few more hours :) Judy - I don't think Maxine would put up with all that!
Debra - I set up a thread for the love songs. And yes, I'm extremely jealous of your breakfast. Since I have been following the rules for winning a Toppler, I am not fit to be seen in public, not even at a drive-thru window. I've settled for cereal. But I have some spaghetti sauce thawing for dinner, and I might make broccoli potato cheese soup. But first some reading, if I ever catch up on all the posts!
***Everyone who's written a verse/song please copy them over to the Silly Love Song Reporting Thread***
Do you think Maxine could catch him? He looks like a pretty fast mover to me with those snazzy two-toned shoes. lol

I have. I can only apologise and make clear that this sort of thing is NOT my day job.

I made stew Friday afternoon and we have been eating that all weekend. I also stocked up on microwavable Indian entrees from Trader Joe's and some fresh gourmet ravioli. No major cooking for me during the Toppler!
Just spent the last hour catching up on posts; now I'm ready to finish my first book. I feel so pomegranate around all you speed readers.

My hubby does most of the cooking, especially since I've been laid up.

Same here, Helen!

Beverly wrote: "Just spent the last hour catching up on posts; now I'm ready to finish my first book. Now I'm reader a denser, harder one.
Well, we just got back from the dog park. I decided the dogs were more important than my lack of hygiene :) I took a book and my mp3 player but only got five pages read before someone else showed up. Two more showed up and all the dogs had lots of fun. Now they're ready for a nap and I'm going to have lunch. Maybe I'll get some reading done.Beverly - another reason it looks like some of us read faster is because we didn't let life interfere with our Toppling :) A lot of us will slow down this week as we have to return to the real world.
Judy wrote: "Just salad for me as I start my third book,
. I've been dying to read this story and I like the writing so far."Ah, that is a fine book, Judy. You are going to be in another world before long. Enjoy! ; )
Am hoping to finish my first book tonight, as I've already chosen my second and written my chorus for my song! Hoping that the battery on my iPhone doesn't run out (it's an iBook rather than kindle) and that I don't fall asleep too soon . Small boy kept me awake a lot last night having climbed in with me so I'm rather tired so can't stay long as must read read read. GO STINKERS GO!!
