, I quite liked it :) Thanks for the suggestion Joo! Not sure which to pick next, I'll have a browse when I've finished analysing my results and see :)
a friend of mine uses a 'to be read jar' where she puts everything she has to read into a jar and takes on at random. i suggest a more high tech version of this (or the jar if you really want - she's making one for me actually...)
was really good, definitely recommend it, not too religious, not too silly, just a good action book.
Elle, I love the jar idea.... maybe I could do it with the numbers rather than book names... save time and paper!! Gonna pick the next one now but I'm not allowed to start it til I'm ready to go home tomorrow... which doesn't give me long before bed as it's 23.20 here now. Whoops!
My jar is actually a rather large plastic box LOL!She made it for me with those small tags you get - probably an expensive version of it but I say work a high tech one if you can be bothered to do it.
I already have everything in a spreadsheet and would use that but some of them are in a series and it would get complicated!

The one problem I have with my kindle is that the books have no synopsis. I have a list of titles and I have to get on the computer whenever I want to match the title to a synopsis!!!Because I'm incredibly lazy I just start them without knowing what they're gonna be about! ;-P

I have that problem too so I often end up on here looking to see what they're about!
D.D. wrote: "Claire, is it just me or are you a really fast reader!?"I'm quite a fast reader, I go through phases where I seem to devour books but then phases where I barely read anything.
I'm moving soon to a place where I'll have a 20 minutes commute, can't wait, more reading time on the metro :D
This is really annoying now, I've just added all the books to a separate shelf (something I should have done to start with!) and I have 100 books on here and only 99 on the shelf....!!

That's how I read too.
What's you biggest book binge?
Mine is 11 books in four days when I was down with the flu last year...
D.D. wrote: What's you biggest book binge?I actually have no idea D.D. I don't think I've read more than one in a day and then started the next although I successfully read about 20 books over my 2 1/2 week Christmas holiday (while revising) as I was trying to reach my 100 book goal! However, the majority of them were Famous Five books as they were reasonably short and easy to read!!! :)
I read like that too girls, I don't touch stuff for months then I read about a book a day for a while...Tire myself out!
D.D. wrote: "Did you get mental cravings for ginger beer and porridge and cream??? ;-P"No, not a big fan of any of them, although I did get a craving to try having breakfast, lunch, tea and supper. Hasn't happened though, yet!
I remember reading them as a child and wondering how it was that these children were allowed to drink beer, didn't realise at the time that ginger beer is alcohol free!
Just finished
. Amazing, definitely a recommended book. A bit of a chunky one but well worth the time and the emotional upheaval it takes!
Just used a random number generator. First one that wasn't either already read of halfway through a series was
so that's next :)
Finished
didn't really enjoy it, the characters were a bit pathetic and whiney for me. Now to see what's next :)
Reached the 25 book mark as well, halfway through my original goal, 1/4 of the way through my updated goal :)
Having a bit of a major reading weekend... Finished
last night, was so good, The ending was good but I didn't like it, I spent half the book hoping it wouldn't end how it did! I want to read the actual series now.Started
today as well, about of a quarter of the way through so far.
Definitely recommend it :) The Time Hunters is good so far, definitely aimed more at children though.
Thank you D.D. :) Finished
Was good, especially towards the end. Will read
next once my Kindle's recharged! Think I wore it out with my 3 books I read this weekend lol!
Claire wrote: "Definitely recommend it :) The Time Hunters is good so far, definitely aimed more at children though."Ooo I was talking about Time Hunters, not the other one! Not my kind of thing :P
Finished
, didn't overly enjoy it until the last 10% or so when the action got going and things got interesting. Unfortunately, it was then over far too soon! Not sure what's next, I've got a few non free books I want to get read over the next few days before I get back to the free ones again.
You have inspired me to delve deep into my free books collection. Even if it is just to test a book and stick it into the "I'm never going to read this" pile :)
Glad to inspire you Joo :) It's quite a rewarding exercise. A book has to be really dire for me to stop reading it entirely but I have found some surprising gems hidden among my free books. I think my Kindle will thank me as well when I remove the latest 20 or so from it(or maybe not as I just keep adding to my pile. Why on Earth did I think 'I'll never have 1500 books on here'? )
was actually really good. I read it all today and enjoyed it. Having read the reviews, I was expecting it to be a lot more horrific than it actually was, not that I want to play down any of the horror the author describes.I'm going to try and read Phantom of the Opera next so it may be a couple of days before I pick up my free kindle books again.
Read another one which wasn't on this list but was a free download - it was terrible! Definitely not recommended! -
Elle wrote: "Cute cover for the Baker one."That's part of what caught my eye. Unfortunately there was just something about the story that I didn't enjoy, I'm just not sure what it was!
