I am terrible for downloading more free kindle books so I'm going to challenge myself to read a significant proportion of those books (although I can buy more as I go). I quite literally have hundreds so I'm going to start with aiming to finish 50, and update it if it looks like I'm doing well. I'll add the first set of books in later on today.

Wow - all the best to you! I'd be too scared to follow that challenge, I was rather too unrestrained with freebie downloading in my early days of kindle and don't think I would be able to catch up with them in my life time....

Hehe. I can't remember which I paid for and which I got free and I am much too lazy to look. I have stopped getting so many freebies and books in general until I have read at least a few of the ones waiting:)Good luck.
Thanks! I've got one more exam in an hour and then I'll go through my Kindle this evening. I split my books on my kindle into free, others, non-fiction, myths, childrens and academic and the free one is by far the largest. I think if I can make a good crack at the list I'll feel better, not sure if I'll ever finish it though!! Some of the books are really awful but they were free so it's fine! I'm just determined to finish the books, not give up halfway through.

Oops. I broke my own damn rule and started before you said Lets go.SORRY!!!
If you want we can delete the above?!??!
I don't really have any freebies on my Kindle any more apart from ones belonging to other people. I mostly deleted them so I could pay attention to my paid books!
HeheI finally managed to sort into categories but got bored with it and gave up. Now I have them sorted into alpha order and my plan is to actually read them in some semblence of the order on my TBR list.
I have read some great free books, but then again some less than great however that applies right across the board. There are some awful trad pubbed and paid for self pubbed too.
I have a few collections - Dippers, Harry Potter, Series, Stand Alone & Fic. Pretty self explanatory.
Good luck, although I think you are brave being determined to finish them, and not give up if they are awful

Oh dear! I've just let slip my secret hobby! I love reading 1* reviews, often the reviewer is REALLY mad and flips out completely. Sooooo funny!!!
I have a load of freebies too, but I'm aiming to read most of my paid for books first before I start reading the free ones

Some of the 50 shades ones are HYSTERICAL!!!
Maybe I should add another rule that I have to review all of them - I usually forget or don't have time to review them unless they were really good or really bad :)
I really do love reading the PNR ones, especially if they are kinda bad but you love them anyway - some people really, really dig into those! And Claire, don't make reading a chore! Remember too many books, too little time - don't be forcing yourself to read a bad book. I don't think anyone should do that (it reminds me too much of studying :P)
Oh don't worry, I won't. I love reading and often don't make enough time for it. I've also found that some books I struggle with to start with are actually quite good when I get into them. And vice versa! As for studying, I do enough of that at the moment!! :)
I think I'll start with
as it's one of the first free Kindle books I came across. I'll start it tomorrow when I've finished my current book.
I will do. If anybody's read any of them and can recommend them feel free and I'll read them next :)I've finished the first book - it was only about 30 pages long I think so it didn't take much time at all!
is next, there are a few I want to read but I'm waiting for February and the other challenges I'm doing then :)
Finished
- it was ok but nothing spectacular. So -
is next.By the way, I don't normally speed through books like I have done today but I'm making up for the last few weeks and making the most of having a day where there's nothing I really need to do (except tidy but that can wait 'til tomorrow :) )
Finished
, definitely worth reading. And you don't need to have read the first one, I hadn't. I described it to my Mum as a 'woman's murder mystery' as opposed to the dark thriller type ones.Now.... what shall I read next? :)
I'm reading Safe Heart next - another mini challenge for this week is to read as many books with blue covers as possible :-)
I'll update this properly tomorrow but I've just finished Safe heart. The book was great but my version appears to be corrupted as it's messing up my Kindle!!
It kept freezing when I reached a certain point in the story and appears to have rearranged my collections list so that the most recent one (and actually the most recent book read in the collection) is at the end! I've taken the book off now so I'm hoping that might have solved it.Edit: It hasn't solved it.
Funny you should say that, I was just reading on the KDP forum a post from an author who said their book was causing this to happen. Apparently about 305 or so in it would freeze up. A couple of people had mentioned it. Wonder if it is the same book.Have you reported it too Amazon?
Gosh - that happened to me too, but it was a different book. I think it might even have been the Salmagundi, actually!
