I'm going to have to think about the orange book. I think

Space 119: orange

4 & 1/2 stars!
It's amazing that Kitty has time to breathe key alone deal with everything. This book is jammed packed! It has a nice little cliffhanger for the baddie at the end too. Humour adds a nice touch as always.

But you'll love it when it arrives :)

Review:
It is about high time that I read a really good book!
This is just the book that I needed to get me out of the funk I was in with mediocre books.
I am really really glad that this book was set with two different timelines. If it was set in a semi-orderly fashion, I think I would have been completely annoyed until over half way through the book. I am also glad that this book didn't really follow too closely in the footsteps of the first book in the series. I was extremely disappointed in the first book in the series and was actually avoiding reading this book for that reason.
This book had lots of action and growth within the book. It wasn't quite as lovey-dovey as the first in the series. All the characters had their own little qualities to them that made them all unique, but strong in their own liking. I love how strong Lena became as a character in this book compared to the first book.
I am actually really excited to read the last book in the series. Especially with the way the book ended, I couldn't ask for a better cliffhanger and lots of unanswered questions to be answered in the next installment. I want to know especially what happens with the love triangle, which is not normal for me since I usually hate love triangles. So so so good! I enjoyed this one even more than the first. Leila gets to kick some butt, Vlad shows us his softer side (every now and then), and the banter between the two of them was great! Some pretty smoking hot scenes in there as well.... I have to admit I wasn't 100% sold on Leila in the first book but I sure am now! She has no fear standing up to Vlad and her powers are quite formidable. I have missed the NH world and it was great to get back to it! Now we just need Up From the Grave to hurry and get here!

just an FYI: sunday will either be a slightly eariler draw or a later one as i'm working nights this weekend. if everyone has their reviews in early i'll draw before i go to sleep otherwise it will be when i get up in the afternoon :)

Review: I liked the idea of this more than the actual read itself. It had a perfectly funny setup. Girl who sees ghosts meets cute boy, who just happens to be the newly dead demon assigned to bring her back to hell. Delaney and Clyde were a cute couple, figuring out why Lucifer was really after Delaney and what really happened to Clyde made for an interesting plot. But for me, it all fell apart whenever Delaney opened her mouth to speak. Every conversation, or even thought stream, was peppered with "hell to the yeah" and other gangsta speak. It just didn't fit my mental image of Delaney and caused quite a disconnect in the reading process. So I probably will not be picking up the sequel to read.

Review: I think I enjoyed this one even more than Once Burned. I really like Layla and Vlad was super hot. Can't wait to read the last book in the trilogy!

It stinks because I was just starting to finish my books earlier in the week since my days off changed back to Sunday and Monday. (I just finished my Blue book for this week).

Review:Since arriving on Thropirelem, her name for this alternate Earth, Jace has had to make quite a few adjustments. Not only do Lycanthropes, Vampires and Golems exist, but humans are a less than 1% minority. Karmic (comic) Books are outlawed spells that can set future events. And a time-warping sword can completely unravel a man's life, mentally change his key decisions and remake him into a cold-blooded killer, all while those around him still remember the man he was.
Jace has real hope that Tair can be altered back into her good friend, but events once again spiral out of control and she ends up infected with the Thrope virus. Not wanting to loose her humanity, she undergoes a risky procedure to let the Thrope and Pire viruses battle it out and hopefully cancel out each other. She may be experiencing new feelings & hyped up senses, but she still manages to remain on the job.
Events can sometimes get complicated & confusing for the reader as well as Jace, but with each book I get a clearer handle on the world and it takes me less time to orient myself and remember previous events. In Better of Undead, events moved as quickly as before, but I never felt lost and really enjoyed following along as Jace investigated the Mafia murders, tried to get Tair to accept the "cure" and fought to stay human.
A great read and I'm definitely going to continue with the series.
