I liked this, it was a light and easy read. A tad cheesy but a good break from the dark and intense. Cesca is not your typical vampire. She's trying to live a normal human life, the smell of blood grosses her out, and she works as a haunted tour guide. She has vamp power potential but doesn't really use it. There's a murder she inadvertently gets caught up in and the who done it is the primary plot of this. Saber is a paranormal cop who's called into the investigation. When Cesca is obviously threatened he takes up bodyguard detail. There's sparks between them but they each get on one another's nerves. This had a Georgina Kincaid feel to me in the sense of the quirky characters and I'll read more in the series. Definitely worth the read when you're in the mood for something light and easy going.

Review: Fair Game had a big game changer of an ending and I was interested to see how it would affect the Mercyverse. While you won't have to have read any of the Alpha & Omega series in order to keep up with the changes, Briggs does an excellent job of revealing the basics, it personally made me more interested in certain events and visiting characters a little more than I might have been without the familiarity.
I absolutely loved this book. From the minute I picked it up, it just pulled me right into the story and I didn't want to put it down. When I had to put it down for work, it kept taunting me from the corner of my desk. LOL.
Mercy's personal life has matured since the first book. She's willingly made a commitment to Adam, established herself within the pack and developed friendships with other supernats and humans. In River Marked, Mercy uncovered information about her family and skinwalker origins. In Frost Burned, she uses her powers in different ways to help resolve critical problems. I'm looking forward to seeing where she takes this in the future.
I really only have one question: Why isn't book 8 out right now, so I can start it?

I think I liked this one even more than Cinder. I really enjoyed the addition of Scarlet and the Little Red Riding Hood story. That ending was killer and I can't wait for the next book!

i'm intrigued by the cinder/scarlet books and think i may have to see if my library has them.....
and GOD! Daffodil - i REALLY want to read Mercy!!

I don't even know what to really say about this book. Everything was very mediocre about it. The plot was slightly unique. The characters however were just blah and I think that is what made the story just kind of barely move along for me.

I was using green 109 from week 7 to move from. I'll fix it. Glad someone's on the ball!!!
I don't want to seem like a snoop but if you drew an Ace that means your color is Red this week. I just don't want you guys to all pick the wrong color and not have it count :)
That's totally understandable :D
I just didn't want to see you guys read the wrong color

Great! Enjoy your books this week :)

Review:
The Rules was pretty aweseome. Ariane is an alien/human hybrid who has escaped from a testing facility and is living in plain sight with her adopted father. She lives by The Rules to help her stay hidden. When she decides to go toe-to-toe with the school mean girl (who's grandfather just happens to be the head of the lab that created Ariane) and begins to fall in love for the first time, Ariane wonders if she can keep herself hidden. And for the first time, she wonders if she really wants to... I really liked Ariane; she was pretty amazing. The story also had some good twists at the end and setup an exciting premise for the next volume. I will definitely be continuing with this series!

My favorite Demonica book! Lore and Idess were great. The sexual tension between them was perfect! The plot of all these contracted killings and protections was really interesting. I really like that Ms. Ione has introduced the angel concept into the series. IMO it shifted things for the better.

Review: Great addition to the Guild Hunter series.
My favorite story is Angel's Dance featuring Jessamy and Galen. A prequel, it takes place soon after Raphael became an Archangel and Galen is applying to be his weapon master.
Angel's Wolf lets us know what happened to Noel after the events in Angel's Kiss. Nimra's power is unique and I'm hoping we get more glimpses of this couple in the future.
Angel's Pawn, featuring Ashwini & Janvier, was interesting. And Angel's Judgment, featuring Sarah & Deacon, was nice but I could have used a little more action on the testing front.

i'm 1/3 - 1/2 thru so far. been busy with lots of shifts at work this week so not a lot of time for reading so far :(

Review:
I think I am in serious need of an amazing book. Everything I have been picking lately is so mediocre. Ever is a girl whose family all died in a car crash in volving swerving away from a deer. She is the only one to survive. However after the car accident she can read people's thoughts, know the answer to a test with absolutely no studying, and see people's feeling through the aura that they all percept.
Over half of this book was spent just trying to figure out what in the world was going on. Why she liked this guy Damen, who Drina was and what she had anything to do with in the story, and living in Ever's little world of depression. Not only do I hate people that are depressed and reading book when people are depressed just puts me into an utter state of depression myself. Not until over halfway through the book did anything start happening in order to make the book interesting at all. I essentially was not fond until some action started happening and that was when everything all started making sense and everything was clarified. So the second half of the book was good, however, I almost feel like most of the first half was unnecessary.

10 of hearts, queen of clubs, red joker.....6 of hearts.
only moving ahead one space this week :(
