I waffled a little on doing this challenge, as I'm already doing another year-long challenge and did not want to box myself in too much.

But I have A and B authors that I'm planning to read for the other challenge, so I figured, why not? I'm going to start with authors names in case I want to continue on with more tasks.

Thanks, ladies! I can get OCD about completing things, so I want to see how far into the year it is before I complete the first alphabet.

I'm happy to have some challenges to do this year. You have to shake up reading once in a while!

I'm through D! On to E tomorrow. I'm trying to make it down to J before the Toppler so I can read J & K during that week.

I really like The Name of the Rose, just a really good read. Hope you enjoy it too. There are some good titles on your list, I've read, or am due to read a few of them. Might have to investigate some of the ones I don't recognise.

Wow Julia! Great job so far. At this rate you'll be finished with the first round in a couple of months. You've got some great books, can't wait to see what else you read.

Well, I managed to make it down to J in time for the Toppler! I'm going to have to work out what I want to read for the rest of the alphabet now. I've been motoring along, so I may have to take on the high octane and plan to do more than one alphabet!

You are motoring! Will you be reading J and onwards for the Toppler? They look like they would fit in.

I am definitely reading J and K for the Toppler and have them all loaded on my Kindle. I have a couple other books ready for after that. :)

Well, I finished O today. I've decided to go for the high octane and do another round when I finish this one!

Yes, it's evident that high octane is the right choice for you.

It took me longer to finish my P book, The Sunne in Splendour, than it's taken me to finish a book in a looooong time. It's definitely a tome, but like all of SKP's books, so worth it.

I'm getting toward the end of what I've planned out again, and need to start planning T-Z!

That's a great book choice. Although I do get ~ 2/3rds of the way through and just want to stop, because you know it all goes completely out of control and ends badly - but you can't help wanting history to play out differently.

Helen, I so agree with you! Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres, but it does sometimes get frustrating when you know the ending. I loved this take on Richard III. I kept wanting Bosworth Field to end differently.

I just finished Tatiana and Alexander. Even though it doesn't fit into my alphabet, I think I'm going to have to read The Summer Garden immediately.
